Great for a group or family get together, a special event, a retreat, wedding party accommodation, or a small wedding or elopement. Set on 80 breathtaking acres on the top of a mountain with stunning views over the valley and a manicured lawn. This is a modern furnished grand house. All rooms have breathtaking views over the valley.
There are 4 bedrooms available. 3 with stunning views. All beds can be configured as either 1 king or 2 king singles (Luxury Sofitel 5 star hotel beds with fine linen and a selection of quality pillows). Regarding booking costs, please be aware that each 2 people booked will be allocated 1 king room (with your choice of bed configuration). Our rack rates are on a per room basis, however Airbnb's setup forces it to be a per person charge (so we have halved the room rate to come up with the per person rate), therefore if you find you are singles and would like a king room each, please be aware that you would need to pay for 2 people per room even if you are only putting 1 person in the room. eg. If you are 4 people we would automatically allocate 2 rooms. (You could choose to have the beds configured as 2 king beds or 4 king single beds.) If you want 4 separate rooms, you would need to book for 8 people, because that this the charge to open and set up 4 king bedrooms.
There is a large room (Sanctuary Room) that can be used as a sleeping space for up to 4 people (any combination of 1 Queen quality mattress on the floor, 1 Queen blow up mattress and/or 2 single blow up mattresses ). There is no additional charge for this room when booked for sleeping accommodation.
There is also a Queen fold out couch in the lounge room that sleeps 2.
The Sanctuary Room is usually locked off unless it is needed for sleeping for bookings above 10. For bookings below 10, if you want the Sanctuary room available during your stay please let us know when you make your booking and we can open it for you. (There is a housekeeping charge of $180, which will be payable at check-in.)
The bright airy Sanctuary Room can also be used as a function room for weddings and events ($180 housekeeping charge applies). It adjoins the manicured lawn and the deck with breathtaking views. A gazebo can also be put on the lawn.
The large open plan lounge room has the same gorgeous views plus fireplace, air-con, 3D flat screen Smart TV, DVD, stereo with iPod dock, USB dock, AUX port, CD & Brisbane radio stations.
There is a large gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances, including full family size fridge and freezer.
The open plan dining area seats 12.
There is large deck with BBQ, outdoor furniture and adjoining manicured lawn (with 2 additional luxurious outdoor toilets & bathroom).
The whole house and grounds are set on 82 acres with 4 luxury cottages, 4 alpacas and a chook palace ;)
Guests have access to the house and are welcome to walk around the grounds, with respect for the cottage guests.
We live on the property. We will meet you to check you in, then leave you to your stay.
You are an easy 6 minute drive to town, where there are numerous shops, cafes and award winning restaurants. The town of Maleny is cosmopolitan with shop owners and restaurateurs from Maleny, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane etc, as well as friendly country folk.
There is a licensed bistro walking distance from us, with great dinners, lunches and weekend breakfasts all under $30.
There are local markets 3 Saturdays of the month.
We are on a tourist drive with many great places to visit.
It's easiest to get to us and to get around by car, but there are local taxi and bus services that you can use to go out at night, or go to the beach during the day, or whatever takes your fancy.

Your holiday is important to us. This document is intended to ensure that you understand the terms and conditions, to protect you and other guests and to maintain your holiday house to a high standard.
We also want to ensure that the administration process is simple and efficient as possible to avoid disappointment.
AVAILABILITY AND RATES
Rental rates vary according to season and are subject to change without notice. Check in after 2pm and check out before 10.30am. We reserve the right to decline any booking request within 5 days of receipt of your booking.
If you wish to hold an event at this venue (such as a wedding or party), or wish to exceed the maximum number of sleeping guests on this listing please discuss the details with us and obtain prior approval.
Full loss of bond could apply if this condition is abused.
Occasionally we will approve pets. Please discuss with us and obtain approval before bringing them. If pets are brought without approval you may forfeit your bond.
Prior approval will be needed if the number of guests exceeds the maximum stated.
Any breakages, damage, loss or theft are the guest's responsibility during their stay.
Smoking inside the house is not permitted. While smoking outside cigarette butts must be disposed of in ashtrays then bins.
The owners take no responsibility for the theft or loss of tenant's property.
Any breached conditions may result in being asked to leave and/or loss of bond.
The booking is made in good faith by us and we cannot accept claims for costs relating to booking mishaps/misunderstandings other than a full refund of the booking fees within the constraints of the above conditions.

Guests have access to the rooms they paid for in the house (the others are locked off) and are welcome to walk around the 82 acres of grounds, with respect for guests staying in the 4 other cottages on the property.
We live on the same land but will leave you to your stay. Check-in can be arranged through reception or after hours by arrangement if necessary.
There is limited parking available (only for about 3 cars). Please discuss if you require more parking. If you are planning an event we can recommend booking Highland Connexion to transport your guests to and from the house to avoid them driving.
Pets and children must have prior approval.
Events/celebrations must have prior approval.
There is an additional charge of $25/person for non-staying guests attending an event (to cover services and wear and tear), payable on or before arrival. There are maximum guest numbers allowed and must have prior approval.
There are ashtrays provided for smoking outside only please.
Can you please do the dishes after you and leave the house neat and tidy the way you found it. If the house is not left in a clean state and additional cleaning is required, we will charge $40/hr for the cleaners to come in and do it, which will come out of your bond.
We do not expect you to strip the beds or clean the BBQ - just general cleaning up and making sure everything is away in the kitchen please.
If you are in a big group and take all the bedrooms in the house, we ask that you please keep any clean linen (towels, pillows etc) separate from the used ones to help us avoid unnecessary washing.
If you bring children, please supervise them well so the place is well looked after, and clean up after them. That includes making sure there are no sticky fingers on the furniture etc. Please don't use the adult linen and blankets for babies. Please bring your own. We do not have ports-cots. Please bring your own. We can only fit children either in the adult beds or in the Sanctuary room, which we can set up with either 2 blow up single mattresses and/or 1 queen mattress, or 2 queen mattresses.
Otherwise, you should find everything you could ever want to ensure you have an awesome time. :)
We moved from Brisbane to Maleny, in the gorgeous Sunshine Coast Hinterland, in 2013. We are originally from Sydney.
I don't think we ever thought we'd move to "the country" - but this is so not! I have to say that it's one of the most stunning places I've ever been (in our years of travelling). We're loving it here!
We like meeting new people. We love seeing the reaction guests have to the magic of this place. As well as the grand house, we have 3 cottages that we run and a 4th we're building. Our cottages are 4.5 star and are ranked #1 on TripAdvisor in Maleny - Blue Summit Cottages. Our guests' opinions matter most to us.
