Sunset Retreat is very private and set on 2.5 acres and spacious with over 400 square metres under roof with lots of break away spaces to relax.

Sparkling clean and comfortable our resort style home with private in ground pool, wood fired pizza oven and fire pit with loads of seating for kicking back in the late afternoon is designed for relaxation.

We use professional grade high quality fresh quality linen and the sound of the birds and quiet location, you can be rest assured to sleep well.

The private pool area lookout to the lake and features a sun deck with deck chairs and an open outdoor deck area perfect for long afternoon hangs, enjoying a dip in the pool, a nap or watching the sunrise with a cuppa.

Sunset Retreat comes readily equipped with all the necessities to make your stay care free and relaxing.

The expansive kitchen is the heart of the home and contains everything you need including, double door fridge and freezer plus an additional “beverage” fridge on the deck.

The kitchen has all the bells and whistles including a fresh grind coffee machine, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper and pantry supplies such as sauces and spices are also provided.

A Weber Q BBQ is located out on the pool deck plus a full laundry facilities with top load washing machine and seperate dryer.

The ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning keeps the house at the perfect temp year round.

The living room complete with a mega couch has a large smart TV with Netflix, Foxtel, Prime and Stan plus the kids space and pool deck also have Tv’s with access to streaming and built in DVD player’s with a selection of DVD's.

Telstra broadband Wifi is also included.

What’s Here? Sunset Retreat offers multiple entertainment areas almost making it hard to decide where to relax. There is a beautiful sparkling in-ground pool level with the house so indoor and outdoor flow is seamless. There is built in "cocktail hour" seating along one side and also a gradual beach style entry is the perfect spot to relax and reconnect....there is also a fully enclosed yard if you have a Fur Baby that would like to join you and is happy to holiday outside.

Did someone says cool drinks in the afternoon? As the afternoon sunset dazzle's it signals time to maybe head out to the back breeze deck and fire up the wood fired pizza oven. Enjoy making wild and wonderful creations, kick back and enjoy the evening.

Why not finish off at the fire pit? This sculpted oasis is great for a quiet glass of Red and where "big kids" can enjoy toasting up a marshmallow or two watching the moon rise and then reflect off the water.

Sunset Retreat was awarded The Master Builders Award in its category which is a testament to its design and lay out which we can assure you, will impress. Privately set on 2.5 acres Sunset Retreat Penthouse allows ample room for storage of a boat, trailer or jet ski and plenty of off street parking.

If you do bring along your boat be sure to take advantage of the Barramundi fishing at Peter Faust Dam or launch at one of three boat ramps nearby for a day on the water on the glistening turquoise Whitsunday Waters.

Overlooking the Ruddell Dam where there are model boat races held every Wednesday and Sunday on the water which are fun to watch from the deck.

Sunset Retreats location means that there is the opportunity for wildlife to literally be at your doorstep. Don’t be surprised to see wallabies and kangaroo’s grazing on the lawn and green tree frogs perched on the rock beds.

There are of course the iconic gecko’s that squeak and mooch about the place and the wag tails that often nest in the surrounding tree’s. The resident street Goose “Timmy” will give you a friendly honk if you wander down to his small dam and an even more enthusiastic one if you take him some fruit or veggies scraps. Once a year we have the influx of “soldier ducks” that dutifully line up at the end of the street and pick and peck worms and small insects across the property from early morning till they then fly en-mass back down to the dam to roost.

We are close to Airlie Beach and the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and yet far enough from town that you are assured privacy and peace and quiet.

You owe it to yourself to book your next getaway.

Our property is located at 78 Windermere Drive in Strathdickie.
If you are flying the nearest airport is Proserpine ( Whitsunday Coast) which is approximately twenty minutes away. Group taxi or cab share options are available at the airport as well as hire cars from all major providers and private bus transfers.
There is also Hamilton Island airport however you will also need to make arrangements for a ferry transfer to the mainland.

We are only ever a phone call away or through messenger, email or via text. Our Co-Host's who live in the street and our Home Care team are also always on call should you need someone to come to come out to the property to help you in anyway they can. The property is for your exclusive use and we respect out guests privacy.
