Tiffany, I'm very sorry you had a bad experience. It was a pretty busy week for my family, I will admit. I want to point out some erroneous info, though: On the fridge, we have a sign that says that we offer coffee, tea, and cream for those items. No where in the studio does it offer ice cream in the freezer. It does, however, state that if you need anything, you are free to ask. I've had several guests request items such as an iron, ironing board, extra cookware...I'm always happy to lend items that are needed. Further, it looks like this was your first airbnb experience. I've had more than one guest contact me ahead of time to see if this is a good location for a personal retreat: I have told them unequivocally that it is NOT. A few of them have chosen to stay anyway, and have greatly enjoyed it. But, it's best if used as a place to stay when stopping over exploring the area. I have been sought out by a predatory guest specifically because of my family--it was a terrifying experience. I actually had to leave my home with my children to get away from him. I refuse to endure that again. Therefore, I expect prospective guests to read between the lines and be discerning when it comes to assessing what staying with a family with only breezeway to separate the apartment from the main house will be like. I would recommend with future airbnb stays that you communicate with your host what your exact needs are. If you had communicated to me within the first 24 hours your dissatisfaction, I would have entirely refunded you. I cannot do that now.
