Bernadine & her daughter arrived 5 hours late after check-in time with only 1 message of contact, which has never happened to me before. All my lovely guests have been so communicative.
I organised my brother to be there to greet them, as I was unable to at that time, so they had a family member showing them around.
My brother welcomed them & spent a considerable amount of time with them, settling them in & answering a lot of their questions about London so they could enjoy there stay.
The flat is a garden level flat & looks out onto the house's discreet front garden area & like all places should in a big city has excellent security! I pride myself on this.
The 2 beautiful Edwardian windows have what we call Banham security gates which one can easily open & shut like blinds. No other guest to date has had an issue with this, most find it a great thing to have in a big city & normal procedure.
There are usually always 2 doors to any apartment, anywhere in the world, that is part of a house (like mine) or an apartment block! 1 to the main building & 1 to the actual apartment. This is the system here & again none of my wonderful guests have had an issue with this as this is normal practise. My brother did go at 10pm one night to help them & discovered nothing wrong with their keys, for some reason they could not work the inside door key, even though it had been carefully explained upon their arrival.
There are 5 stairs leading to my main front door as I have a nice separate, private entrance to my apartment. It is exceedingly well lit with a large security light system for nights & again I have never had an issue with this.
I'm very pleased that they appreciated my neighbourhood. It is a beautiful quiet, green one right within one of the most bustling, largest cities in the world. I also hope they enjoyed discovering this great city with all it has to offer.
