Important: The hot tub is basically unusable. You can only run the hot water for a few minutes at a time, and then you need to turn it off, wait 10-20min, and start again. This process takes several hours and produces a tub full of mildly warm water. As a major selling point of this listing, it's a disappointment.
Short n sweet: It's a beautiful & romantic place, but it has some problems.
Major pluses: Relative to the "eco chic" hotels on the beach, it is much bigger, has working air conditioners, good water pressure and reasonably hot water, wifi... it's just so much nicer. And honestly, if you put in the hours of work, a warm tub on the roof on a cool night is still pretty nice. The place is just sexy in general and is great for a romantic get away. Plus Lenin - he's pleasant, cool, helpful, and responsive.
Major issues: One of the toilets didn't work. It made noise constantly, but didn't flush. I was told someone would come fix it, but nobody came. The washer/dryer didn't work, so Lenin brought my clothes to a laundromat for me (Lenin is great). The "hot tub." Also the furniture pictured on the roof - all of the cushions are missing, the lounger is gone, and the strings lights don't work. Looking at other reviews, this has been the case for a while and I'm not the only one who was told it would be fixed soon. Finally, construction noise starting every morning should be mentioned in the description.
In conclusion, if you can negotiate a good price, this place is a much better deal than the "eco chic" hotels on the beach. It just needs some repairs/upgrades.
