Special/unique 5 bed stone detached villa with all mod cons recently renovated. In quiet residential area & only 5 mins to city with good transport links to city and all parts of Scotland. A truly comfortable house to experience life in Scotland.


Airdbreck, this traditional, Victorian blond sandstone detached villa with a plethora of period and reproduction features. It has 5 bedrooms and can accommodate 11 or 12 comfortably. The house has recently been carefully modernised and upgraded and is well equipped throughout. There are fine examples of stained glass windows and many Amtico floors throughout the house. This is a great base from which to enjoy Glasgow and other parts of Scotland and ideal for an extra special stay.

On the ground floor there is a large entrance hallway, drawing room, TV room, shower room, kitchen, dining room and utility room. Mid landing there is a shower room and Jacuzzi bathroom, on the first floor there are 5 bedrooms. It is a home from home and quiet but only 5 minutes from the city centre. This self catering detached home will cater for all your needs in a quiet, residential, safe and comfortable environment. It boasts many original features including large windows, high ceilings, cornicing and wood panelling. The house has been a family home for 36 years and is prepared for 11 or 12 and is the perfect base for a group or a company to rent as well as a family or families. Special arrangements can be made for elderly or infirm guests to sleep on ground floor.

Accommodation includes the drawing room with a 55" LED smart TV links to SKY HD+, apple speaker and docking station; DVD; TV room with 37" Panasonic linked to SKY HD+ and DVD and video player; formal dining room with seating for 10; well stocked and fitted kitchen with integrated gas and electric appliances; separate utility room with washer, drier and freezer; the 5 bedrooms are spacious and airy (one with twin beds with memory foam mattresses another with twin electrical height adjustment and a put up bed suitable for child), one double, 1 super king size with additional single and the last bedroom has a king sized bed; each bedroom has a TV, Jacuzzi bathroom and 2 full shower rooms.


Greeting at normal entry time when keys will be handed over and a tour of house and amenities . Thereafter you can contact by phone or email as often as required. Details will be given when booking is confirmed.

This 5-bedroom home is possibly THE BEST airbnb find for a larger family traveling to Scotland and staying in the Glasgow area for a few days or several weeks. We stayed here for 2 weeks with up to 9 people and no issues at all. Centrally located on the south side of the Clyde river in a nice residential neighborhood, it was the ideal home base for day trips into Glasgow as well as a extended day trips to places like Loch Lomond, Oban, Glencoe, and other parts. With easy access to the M8 motorway, we did day excursions to Stirling and Edinburgh (both about 60 minutes away) by car or by train (at Glasgow Central Station). We often walked to the Dumbreck train station and could be in Glasgow City Centre in about 5 minutes, avoiding the worry of driving in and finding parking. Tesco and Alda grocery chains are about 10 minutes away by car. It's also about 15 minutes by car to the Glasgow airport. And after a day's worth of activities, our family would spend the evening comfortably in the living room talking around the fireplace, or in the dining room playing games. The back yard and trampoline were also a hit with the younger family members. Our hosts were the nicest people you could ever meet in Glasgow. The home itself is accurately represented in the listing, it's quite remarkable in its appearance, comfort, amenities, location and convenience. This property is definitely a 5-star in our opinion and a much better value than any area hotel could provide.

Irene was helpful and attentive from the first time i contacted her, always replying to me in a prompt manner and going out of her way to ensure the house was suitable for our group. The house itself was lovely, well stocked with everything we needed, very big and perfect for purpose as we were attending a wedding 5 minutes walk away. I would recommend Irene as a host to any large groups looking for a place in Glasgow.

Irene is indeed a superhost! Our stay was exactly as we had hoped; a smooth check in and all the information we needed to immediately feel at home. We visited Glasgow to see family and the house was the perfect place for us to all be together and enjoy each other's company. The house was so clean, very comfortable and the kitchen so well set up it allowed us to cater easily for our guests. Our two small children were very happy with all of the toys at the house and also the large trampoline in the back garden. Thank you again Irene, we certainly would return.

We were in Glasgow for my daughter's wedding, the house was perfect for accommodating our family and allowing us to hold a party for our in-laws to be. It is very well-equipped and very handy for shopping and access to Glasgow City Centre
