One bedroom condo with den and 2.5 baths on a hill overlooking the Centro Historico of Quito. Close to everything in the Historic District with a connection to "Closer to Heaven" for a combined apartment if desired.
The apartment is on two levels, with the lower level containing the living, dining, kitchen and 1/2 bath (including a small balcony with great views); upstairs a master bedroom with full bath, and a den with futon and a second full bath overlooking the Historic District. This is our personal apartment, with a connection to "Closer to Heaven" next door that together can easily accommodate six adults and two children.
The apartment is in a building within easy walking distance of all of the important historic and cultural sites of the Central Historic District. Five blocks to the Plaza Grande and also the national theater, Teatro Sucre. Six blocks to the Museum of Contemporary Art. easy walking distance to BRT lines.
We live in Florida but would be available by internet at all times. In addition, our local representative Juan Cevallos is on hand to answer question by phone or to provide guided tours in town or out of town.
The apartment is located in a larger condominium complex, and you will need assistance when you first arrive to find your way and get settled in. If you are arriving in Quito by plane, we strongly suggest that you utilize our local representative, Juan Cevallos, to meet you at the airport and bring you to the apartment. This will cost $60 in cash for the round trip service to the airport and acquainting you with the apartment. If you are not arriving by air, you will still need Juan's help to get into the apartment, and that would be a $10 charge. In either case, we ask you to pay Juan directly in cash for this service. The apartment is located near the top of a fairly steep hill, and within the complex and the apartment itself there are a fair bit of stairs. So this would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are four elevators in the complex, but for this apartment, there are still some stairs to navigate. The elevator does lead directly to the floor of the other apartment, "Closer to Heaven."
Smoking only on the balcony or in the courtyard.
