Enjoy a relaxing stay across from one of the best beaches on Maui. This 2 bedroom 2 bath condo was completely remodeled with all new appliances, paint, doors, windows (including 1 that offers a direct ocean view). All new granite countertops in kitchen and bath. New furnishings and a kitchen equipped for any chef to enjoy!

If you are looking for a great place with a beautiful view here you go. Ocean view, location is the best on Maui. Walking distance to Wailea along the hiking path. You can even walk to the Shopps at Wailea or into the center of Kihei to enjoy lunch or drinks. Located in South Kihei across from Kamaole III beach, you can snorkel in the morning, and watch the whales at sunset from this famous beach.

Each bedroom offers a queen bed and the livingroom has a queen sleeper sofa for additional bedding options. There are 2 full baths, one with a glass/pebble shower stall and the other with a full tub. The unit comes equipped with a stackable washer and dryer and a 52' large screen TV with cable and internet. The unit also has DSL internet, phone with free local and long distance calls. THIS IS A NO SMOKING UNIT. It is a 3rd floor walk up with no elevator in the building.

Beach is steps away from your door. Complex has a basic pool and hot tub located near the office. Tommy Bahama beach chairs available for your use. The complex also has several BBQ's for your use.

Owner will provide document that includes local secrets for happy hour, shopping and touring.

The neighborhood is quite lively and the complex is popular and can be noisy sometimes. But you can walk to shops and local eateries as well as the beach path.

Must be respectful of neighbors and abide by house rules.

Check in time is after 4 pm and check out is 10:00 AM . No exceptions. A one day fee with be charged to guests who stay past the check out time (sorry but we have many back to back guests and the cleaning crew needs time to make it perfect! Thanks for your understanding and cooperation).

No smoking and No pets. Extra charges for cleaning if the unit has been smoked in.

Checking in was super seamless. Everything was as we were told. Keys in place, parking place close to unit. Quiet and clean place to stay in Kihei. Close to a great beach that is popular for sunsets. Easy walk to many restaurants. The kitchen had most of what we needed and was fairly new. The dishwasher however was not mounted so you had to be careful when opening as it would fall forward towards your feet. Two bathrooms with great water pressure in shower. Two bedrooms were a nice plus for us but one was really really small. There was also a pull out sleeper sofa in living room with a large flat TV etc. The one we used had a nice TV in the room. Used it a few times after long day at beach. The bedding and mattress left a bit to be desired. I think a good nights sleep is really important when traveling and we both woke with sore backs unfortunately. Each morning we liked to wake to coffee and sit outside but the patio could use a little bit of sprucing up perhaps with new seating or at least cleaned up a bit. Not much of a view from it as it overlooks the parking lots behind the building. We didn't want to use air conditioning much to save energy but the bedroom was very still even with the ceiling fan in it. We had to leave the air conditioner window unit on in living room. Too bad we found the portable fan days later tucked u see the spare bedrooms bed. Oh and when we went to walk out to the patio the curtains seemed stuck together on the tie backs. They definitely could be retired throughout the apartment. There was a pool for all the units though we didn't use it. It did look nice. Either the owner or the listing mentioned possible noise at the complex. We didn't have any issues with hearing anything although the neighbors kids were noisy in the stairwell but complex security handled it quickly because someone apparently complained. I'd recommend this place for a small group looking for an affordable place in Kihei.

My host made us feel very welcome, went beyond what was requested. The listing site was as promised.

Barb, her husband and friends Monica and Victor were terrific guests. When they arrived at the condo the place was not clean due to a mix up with the cleaning schedule. They had all traveled a long way to get here and I did not want them to have to wait until the unit got cleaned. So I decided to put them up in 2 rooms in a nearby 4 star luxury resort on the beach. They seemed to be happy with the solution and then came back to the condo the next day. They stayed at my place for 2 weeks and left it better then they found it. I would be happy to host this group anytime!! I hope they come back!!

Bottom line, we would not stay in this condo again. Most of our 10 nights staying in this condo was fine, but some things were pretty egregious: 1)The condo was HOT and muggy when we arrived after 18hrs of travel 2)There were roaches 3)Due to the owner’s mistake, a stranger walked into the condo 4)We were treated unfairly and unprofessionally by the owner It was late when we arrived; we’d traveled 18hours, and when the property was really hot and muggy because the AC unit in the living area was not turned on. We found over a dozen roaches in the kitchen. The situation never improved despite extra cleaning and being especially careful with our food. One evening I killed four roaches crawling around the dishwasher (which I’ve photographed for posterity sake). Picture this, it’s the last day of your 10-day vacation, you’ve just returned from an early beach trip and are still in a towel from a shower when a stranger walks into your condo. Naturally the woman freaks out because there are people in the condo she’s rented, you freak out because you’re in a towel and someone’s walked in. Apparently the owner had someone checking in the same day we were leaving. Not unreasonable except we were never notified of any checkout time. We had an evening flight and were leisurely enjoying our last day until someone just unlocked and walked into our condo. This brings up the issue of the lock box. It seemed like a good idea that we would just leave the key in the box (we were asked to) but I don’t know how often they change the code. We hadn’t considered the possibility that other people with the code could freely enter the condo. Sandy did not react professionally to the situation. When she contacted us, instead of being apologetic that some random woman walked into our condo, she accused us of staying past the checkout time (which we were NEVER notified of, were not in any of the documents the owner sent us, or posted on the airbnb listing) and that she needed to know immediately how long it would take us to vacate the premises. I asked her for 20mins to start packing so we could give her a more accurate estimate which she refused. From our perspective, we were being thrown out and needed to pack up 11 days’ worth of luggage immediately while being told that if we were in a hotel we’d be expected to check out by noon—trust me, a hotel would’ve had their AC on when their guests arrived. A day later I received a note from Sandy semi-apologizing, still semi-accusing us of not adhering to the checkout policy, and offering us 25% off our return stay. Maybe I’m being more sensitive than I should, but after the way we were treated, we’ll decline. If sincere amends were made, she would’ve offered to refund us some of our rental fee.

Unfortunately Vivi turned out to be a very immature entitled guest and in the end we were very disappointed with how we found the unit upon her departure. We will pursue the damages that our professional hotel housekeeping service outlined. Vivi is not an appropriate to accept for a tenant without a guardian or responsible third party. We believe Vivi’s review speaks for itself and should be a warning of how inappropriate/immature guest she was. It was apparent in our final conversations that Vivi had not much experience with hotel or other rental stays. Unfortunately, pointing this out to potential owners may have little consequence because it does not seem likely Vivi will rent again under her own auspices. Obviously she points this out herself with her misguided redundant whining she voiced after she was told she could not continue to stay in the apartment after check out: 1)The condo was HOT and muggy when we arrived after 18hrs of travel (she repeats later and complains that not leaving the air conditioning on is “treating her unfairly”) o The apartment takes about 5 minutes to cool down with just windows in the evening. It would be irresponsible to leave the air conditioning running continuously. Her poor disposition from travel to Hawaii does not support the contention that owners should break energy guidelines to accommodate the few minutes it takes to open the windows. There is a cross breeze that created from the extra windows we put in the apartment and most never use air conditioning (concerned that they left the air conditioning running day and night). o Again apparent Vivi is unfamiliar with hotels policy particularly in hawaii (e.g. she stated “trust me, a hotel would’ve had their AC on when their guests arrived”) 2) There were roaches (she repeats later….”which I’ve photographed for posterity sake” Seriously…5 years old?) o Pest control is an island wide issue and the condo associations has a regular pest control maintenance program that treated earlier in the month o In addition we had the appliances, closets and cabinets emptied and pulled out and fumigated the day before vivi arrived o We do take these complaints seriously and had the condo again fumigated again o We are currently staying in the condo with no pests spotted 3) Due to the owner’s mistake, a stranger walked into the condo (she repeats again later…. ) o There was no mistake it was afternoon and Vivi had not checked out as specified in her contract and was offended when the next guest showed up to check in. In order for companies like Airbnb to work there has to be trust that the renter and owner will act in good faith. It certainly is unreasonable to expect that you do not have to observe a conventional check out time. o Vivi costs the owners money by sending housekeeping away when she was still not prepared to check out in the afternoon. She did not contact us and tell us she sent housekeeping away she just continued on with her ” leisurely day” o Housekeeping notified me and when I called Vivi to find out what was going on she asked for 20 more minutes before should could even give us an estimate as to when she would be prepared to leave o Vivi did not apologize or try to address the issue …it was apparent she thought she could just stay in the unit as long as she wanted to without regard to the next guest. o This left the housekeeping crew and the next guest (who was not feeling well waiting). o Any misunderstanding should have been easily been resolved; however, Vivi would not commit to any time frame for leaving the apartment even though any reasonable person should not expect “We had an evening flight and were leisurely enjoying our last day until someone just unlocked and walked into our condo.” Many flights from Hawaii are night flights renters either rent another day or find an alternative solution. The idea of “leisurely enjoying our last day” without paying for an extra day makes no sense in any hotel etc anywhere in the world. o While we were sympathetic and appreciate the she pointed out the fact that had no idea how hotels worked (“while being told that if we were in a hotel we’d be expected to check out by noon”) o And it Is nice she admitted she would not commit to leaving even though she knew the next tenant was not feeling well and was waiting and so was the housekeeping staff.. (“I asked her for 20mins to start packing so we could give her a more accurate estimate …. needed to pack up 11 days’ worth of luggage”) We have been doing rentals for over 20 years and have never had such an immature entitled tenant. Fortunately she was kind enough to point that out to everyone in her own words. Vivi did not offer to compensate us or the next guest for the extra time she used the condo and for the associated costs of paying housekeeping to wait for her to pack. Certainly would have worked with Vivi to help her figure out alternative solutions to her poor planning. We want every guest to have the best experience possible and even offered a future discount given she was so out of sorts not understanding how things work or generally accepted guest policies that are consistent from b & bs to hotels. We have always enjoyed travel and don’t want the novice to be discouraged or confused. We even tried to not hurt her or warn other owners of her poor behavior (tried to give her the benefit of the doubt) but subsequently after reviewing with housekeeping we have come to believe Vivi attempted to create an issue to avoid dealing with problems she created and we will not accept Vivi as a future guest. We were in the apartment the day Vivi arrived and had it cleaned, inventoried and fumigated (the night before). We returned the week after she left and have documented the following problems based on her stay. 1. Vivi admitted to rearranging the furniture to get a better view of the ocean: a. Caused scratches in the paint on walls that have to be touched up b. Paint damage to a chair 2. The next guest had a problem with the new high def tv because the wires had been switched 3(URL HIDDEN)smoke detector had been removed and dismantled (we had to pay maintenance to put back on the wall) 4. The top to the blender is missing (was used the day she arrived and not there the day she left) 5. Inexplicably the new hot pot disappeared (damaged and thrown out or stolen) 6. Two guest books were stolen (which is unfortunate our daughter made them) 7(URL HIDDEN)mug disappeared While we acknowledge a certain amount of party behavior will take place we do expect guests to be respectful and honestly detail any damage they cause and respect the check out time. We believe in order for airbrb to be successful entitled guests that try to “game” and take advantage of owners need to be eliminated from the program.

Sandy was so great and helpful! The condo was nicer than we expected and perfect for our family of four. Great location, just a long block from the beach, and with a great view! We would love to stay here again.
