We are often busy with our businesses, but we truly enjoy meeting and visiting with our guests if it's mutual. Evenings in the courtyard visiting guests is our favourite thing to do.
We love the extra large size of the property which gives breathing room and of course the 'Art Deco - Modernity' of the architecture.
Non smoking suite and courtyard. Pets considered. People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. The property owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting the reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Guests will respect the homeowners and adjacent neighbors by keeping noise and disturbances to a minimum during their stay. Guests are asked to respect a midnight "quiet curfew" if remaining outside in the courtyard. There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the suite, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the suite. Breakage of any dishes, glassware or other damage will be charged against the damage deposit and the guest's credit card if required.
Stuart, a photographer and Del, an artist and hairdresser are your hosts. Stuart is originally from Forestburg, Alberta and moved in 1981 from Calgary to Penticton to take over the long established photography studio McDonalds Photography. Del was born and raised in Penticton and after working and raising her family in Vancouver and Prince Rupert returned in 1983 to take over Hair World. The two first met in 83, and worked together on several joint shows and exhibitions featuring their complimentary talents. In 1999 they joined together in love and work and have operated their businesses from the property where they live. Together, they have now built the studio of their dreams on the same property as their home. Studio Del is Del's hair salon and art studio on the top floor (Del earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2001) and Stuart Bish Photography occupies the main floor and basement of the beautiful new building. Del's brother, Brian Nelson and architect based in Kamloops designed the new building. It is his admiration of the Art Moderne and Modern Contemporary style that is evident in the 1940 home that inspired the new building aptly named 'Box Camera'. Stuart and Del are pleased to offer this lovely private suite which was the former photography office to those who want to enjoy the many holiday recreations that Penticton and area have to offer.
