Situation in quiet tree lined square. Seconds away from vibrant central Islington with numerous restaurants, cafés, shops & bars, & 5 minutes to Angel tube. This airy apartment is split over 2 floors so feels extra spacious. You have access to whole flat (670 sq ft) + 2 verandas. Can accommodate 3 adults in beds + 1 adult on sofa bed. Or 2 small adults or 2 children can share the second small double bed which is 4ft wide.

*Apartment is on 1st & 2nd floors. There are steep stairs and no lift*


Seconds away from central Islington & 5 minutes to Angel tube. This light & airy apartment is split over 2 floors so feels extra spacious. You have access to the whole flat (670 sq ft) + 2 verandas!! and can comfortably accommodate 4 people. (1 double bed, 1 small double bed for 1 adult (or 2 children) and 4th person on sofa bed.)

** Please note the 2nd bedroom area is in the upper part of this duplex apartment and is configured as an open plan room - 'studio' style. The bed area is divided off from the living space, but is not in a separate room. **

Although all amenities are seconds away, the apartment is in a tree lined square away from traffic noise and the busy streets. On 1st floor is the bathroom and spacious double bedroom with double bed. On 2nd floor is a studio style 'loft type' space, with sleep zone with 4ft wide double bed for 1 person; and relaxing area with sofa, armchair, dinning table and tv. There is an additional air mattress single bed for fourth person. Also an amazing veranda - perfect for breakfast. Separate kitchen on this floor too.

Access to the whole apartment, including the 2 private verandas.

With Angel tube station so close by, getting to all areas of London is simple. 2 minutes away are bikes to hire which is a fun way to see London. Buses run 24/7 to all areas and are frequent. These are less than a minute away.

2 bath Towels and 2 hand towel are provided per week.

Please note. This duplex apartment is arranged over first and second floors. There is no lift, so there are some stairs to climb. The entrance and bathroom is on first floor with master bedroom. Second floor the 'open plan' studio living/sleeping space with the additional bed.

For longer stays housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee.

The building is strictly non smoking, so we request you only smoke outside please. Any guest in breach of this will be requested to leave immediately.

Please remove shoes when you enter the apartment.

No parties or loud music or excessive noise especially early morning and late In the evening

Do not light any candles or anything to produces smoke or naked flame.

Please note. We respectfully request that additional guests and NO visitors/colleagues/friends/family members are invited back to this apartment (not even for a cup of tea). Only fully paying guests can be hosted here and visitors are not permitted to enter our property due to insurance restriction. Additional charges will be made for extra guests.

We charge a nominal cleaning fee, for the laundering and supply of all linens & towels, and to prepare the house for your arrival. We request guests take all rubbish outside, wipe any surfaces in kitchen and not leave dishes, cookware unwashed. If you use the stove and cooker, please ensure it is cleaned. Unfortunately we will request additional cleaning fees, if the apartment is left in poor order. Any damage caused, please notify us immediately so compensation can be discussed.

There will be a charge for lost keys. For security and insurance purposes we have to install new locks if keys are lost. This will be charged to you + call out and fitting charges + a £95 admin charge for dealing with this issue. We suggest you therefore take due care.

Staying in David's flat was a great pleasure. We found it to be so comfortable and so well placed that we came back for a second time this year. David is among the most attentive hosts I have had via Airbnb. His communication is always thoughtful, clear, timely and detailed. His flat, situated in a quiet courtyard of a beautiful set of buildings is just perfect for exploring Islington in any direction you would like to go. The space is comfortable, spotless and well equipped, with a great kitchen and new appliances. If you've not been to Angel before, an absolutely beautiful neighborhood of lovely shops, restaurants and elegant residential streets, you will not regret it. If you've already been then I'll just say that this is the flat for you!

We found David quite difficult actually. I let him know early on in my booking that I was renting for two of my assistants for a workshop I was doing. Then he continued to complain I didn't let him know, which I find strange since its right there in the thread. No guests were allowed in space, even if just for a meal. The internet did not work during the stay which made it tricky for my assistants. He then complained that we left dishes in the sink. If it is a requirement to leave the place spotless, then it should be noted on the house rules. There are cleaning fees for normal use of space. Decent place in great part of town, but not worth the hassle. There are other cute spots in Angel.

In your original message you mentioned you were the guest. Hence the confusion. I quote: 'Hi David We are teaching a workshop in Angel that weekend. We are two non smoking men.' This was misleading and unfortunately I needed to know actual guests staying as this is for our insurers. No washing up expected. We have a dishwasher. It takes a second to put items in it. We just ask guests to respect our home and kindly not treat it like a hotel. The mess your guests left was not normal; judged on hundreds of other bookings. That is all we ask. Please see all our other reviews that have faced none of your issues?

Spacious, clean and with absolutely any/all amenities you could expect from a hotel, David's flat has it all. The instructions that David left for entering the home were flawless and very detailed so I had no problem at all accessing the property. When I needed a recommendation to eat, David was just a text/call away and the walk to Angel station is perfect in that it's not too far. I would certainly recommend David's home to anyone and would stay here again if/when back in London.

David's place was exactly as pictured and great for us. I booked his apartment for 2 colleagues of mine who were visiting our London office, which is within walking distance.
