A fully self-contained cottage sleeping up to 15 people. Situated in private surroundings at our sister property “Coombe” this 3000 acre working sheep, cattle and horse property, offers panoramic views of the Snowy Mountains and close to ski fields.
This option is great if you value your own space and want to be self-sufficient. You do your own catering and as your cottage is not serviced during your stay, this ‘do-it-yourself’ holiday won’t break your budget.
Located on approximately 3000 acres of sheep, cattle and horse grazing farmland just 9 km from Adaminaby and a 40 minute drive to Selwyn Snowfields.
If coming from Cooma: Come straight through Cooma, take the right turn onto Snowy Mountains Highway approx. 9 km out of Cooma, continue approx. 30kms until you find a large Reynella sign and Kingston Road, continue as you were on the Snowy Mountains highway for another 4.2 km. You will have reached “Coombe” entrance – on the left side of the road 100m before Stradbroke Road. The Coombe white mail box with number 4407 and white entrance gate – tall poplar trees).
“Coombe” Cottage is the white house with the RED ROOF (usually fires will be lit before your arrival) If you see smoke coming from the chimney that’s your house. Front entrance gate appears to be locked, this is not so, so please lift chain and open gate and make sure chain is put back on gate once you have driven through and make sure gate is closed so that the stock cannot get onto the Highway
If coming from Tumut: Come straight through Adaminaby and continue along Snowy Mountains Highway. Immediately (25 metres) after Stradbroke Road sign you will be at “Coombe” entrance on the right side of the road. (white mail box with number 4407 and white entrance gate – tall poplar trees).
A three bedroom cottage with two double rooms, one twin and one bunk room comprising of three bunks plus 1 single, 1 single room in enclosed verandah. Sleeps 15 people. All beds ready made with linen, electric blankets and doonas, towels provided. A large lounge room with wood heater and TV, separate modern kitchen, separate dining and sitting room with wood heater, laundry is equipped with washing machine, two bathrooms.

What to bring
Guests staying at “Coombe Homestead” will need only bring personal gear and food.
All linen (including towels), electric blankets are supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped.
We will ensure that wood fires are lit prior to your arrival so that you are warm and cosy. Please notify us of your ETA the day before your stay.
Please leave house tidy. Turn off all electric blankets and heaters each day when departing.
