2 hours from Oslo - midway on your way to Bergen, in the upper part of the Numedal valley, at the end of a large fjord, you will find a historical farm from the 1700th century.

Sevletunet is a warm and welcoming B&B where you will easily feel at home. You can choose to stay in one of our 17th and 18th century traditional Norwegian farm buildings with modern comfort - or maybe you would like to try the old medieval bed in the barn on pillars "stabbur" from 1632 (Sevleloftet).

ที่พัก
On the outside, the buildings have the rustic charm of medieval buildings, while the interior offers all the comforts of a modern hotel. The combination of charm and hospitality in this historic setting will make this the highlight of your trip.

การเข้าถึงของผู้เข้าพัก
You will have access to your room in one of the three buildings / apartments. You are also welcome to use the living room, the café, the sauna and the barbeque hut - and the green lawn area outside.

The huge green lawn that surrounds the farm buildings, are great to play differnet games / football. We have different team games and a "smashball". The wooden sauna and barbeque-hut are available for you at any times, and are great things to do if the weather is bad. There are barbeque installations outside as well. A guided tour into the barn on pillars; "The Sevle loft" (Sevleburet), which is sort of famous for its unique arcitecture here in Norway.

Welcome to our family run 16th- and 1700th century farm in Numedal! Sevletunet is an ancient farm where today's owners run a B&B. The farm is located in the middle of Kongsberg and Geilo, in the middle of the Numedal Valley, and 5 km from the village of Rødberg. If you are on your way to Bergen, Sevletunet makes for a perfect stop, as it is halfway on your way to/from Bergen/Oslo. You will have a 170 km drive a head of you if you are coming from Oslo. The next day it will take you 72 km to get to Geilo. From there we can recommend the beautiful train trip over to the west of this country. The site is characterized by its beautiful and historic - and carfully restaured - buildings and the green lawn with all its possibilities for both relaxation and play. It is surrounded by mountains on both sides and a nearby fjord. You will have access to a wood fired sauna, barbecue facilities and hammocks. You can also enjoy the duck pond, an outdoor fireplace ('the zen house') and a free exchange library. The collection of traditional farm buildings consists of guest rooms and self-catering private cottages with rustic interiors. All accommodations at Sevletunet B&B and Cabins have private bathroom facilities and underfloor heating. Free WiFi is available in common areas and all the rooms except from in 'The Hen House' (where el-sensitive persons may stay - this is also the entity you can reserve if you are brining your dog). Other activities include lawn games, canoe paddling and a cafeteria where guests can buy local and traditional food and drinks. Numedalslågen river and the Norefjord are just a short walk away offering many fishing spots and scenic footpaths. The Numedal Valley has many preserved medieval buildings and four stave churches. Guests can also go rail biking on draisines on the preserved railway close to the property. Sevletunet B&B and Cabins is 30 minutes’ drive from Langedrag Mountain Farm with its wildlife and activities, and the Nore stave church is only 9.5 km away. Uvdal Stave Church is 13 km from Sevletunet B&B and Cabins. We hope you will leave our place with an enriched sense of having gotten a taste of both cultural history and natural healing, after a stay with us. We regularly have guests from all over the world, and really appreciate the opportunity to get to learn more about our guests as well. We often see that groups of people that choose to stay here at the same time, often hit it off really well. In addition to the accommodation entities, we also have a wedding venue and locations for hosting birthday parties and other special days to celebrate. Ask us for more information. There is possible to rent the mountain cabin for a mimimum of 1 week, to a minimum of 8 guests. You can choose to stay in one of the three different accommodation houses; I. THE MAIN HOUSE: an old post / telegraph building from 1850 where the breakfast is served in the first floor. This house has two double rooms, both with access to two extra beds (twin beds 90-130 cm) - the perfect choice for a family of four persons. This is a B&B alternative. II. THE HEN HOUSE: a modern and newly renovated house that previously was used as a house for our hens. This house has two double rooms. III. THE OLD BARN: a 1700 year old cottage with modern standards, a living room w. a kitchen and a living room with a fireplace. This entity has three double rooms with twin beds (90-130 cm), a small and cozy kitchen and a living room with a fireplace and a sitting arrangement. (This is the perfect alternative for you if you would like to cater for your selves). All of the seven rooms have their own private bathroom. The price for a double room is NOK 1170. In this price ready-made beds and a breakfast buffet are included. On site there is a sauna house, a barbeque hut, toys for the kids, crocket and other lawn games for kids of all ages, a museum with lots of history and a café. "We" - are Gro ("the mother") who together with her husband Aksel restaured the farm slowly but surely, and started with farm tourism and B&B on the farm in 1998, and the other half of the "we" is Margun ("the daughter") who took over as the owner in 2018 and have many exciting plans around the further development of the farm in the time to come. We really enjoy welcoming guests to this oasis of ours - where we really enjoy spending time our selves also. We will be reachable in the cafeteria/pub or somewhere around the farm doing our everyday chores if you need us. A relaxed athmosphere, a good book by the fire place, local folk music, local traditional elk and fish dishes as well as homemade vegan treats, hiking in the beautiful Norwegian nature, dark chocolate and tea, yoga and cultural experiences are some of our favourite things! Favourite life motto: "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind, always." Please feel welcome to get in touch with us if you have any questions regarding your stay. - Margun & Gro
