A great studio condo in the perfect village north location @ MarketPlace. Guests love the convenience of the location and cozy mountain charm. The full size fully equipped kitchen is set up for long or short term stays. Perfect for 2 but can work for 4 for those comfortable with getting cozy. The Nest is in a great location with great mountain views with designer touches. It is steps from the hot tub and all the fun that Whistler has to offer!

The hot tub is just steps down the hallway, as well as full laundry facilities. The Marketplace with all the great shops are right in front of this unit.

We love the convenience of everything. Park the car in the secured underground parking and walk everywhere!

In the winter time for your convenience you can catch the free public shuttle to the slopes that comes every 5 mins or so or it's just a 5-10 min walk to the lifts!

Welcome to ‘The Nest’ in the Market Pavillion building. We have provided you with this guide to help make your stay most memorable for you. You don’t need to print the whole guide as we provide a copy in the condo. Tip: On the last page of this guide you’ll find a few of our favorite places in Whistler. Share your faves in our guest book in the condo!

Getting Here:
Check in time is usually 4pm but if able to arrange cleaning earlier we’d be happy to accommodate your request for an earlier time (an early check in or late check out fee may apply) Arrangements for receiving the building electric key (aka FOB) and unit keys will have to be made with the owner in advance. We may be able to greet you at the condo personally or in Vancouver if arriving at the airport. There is a lockbox located along the wall opposite the main floor elevator. Designated spot #42 (For detailed garage access info/location keep scrolling down)The condo is located in Village North in The Marketplace area right beside the IGA grocery store. (if lost ask anyone where this is as it is the major hub of the village) If you are arriving by bus from the airport get off at the village bus loop and walk down ‘Northlands Boulevard.’ If you’re driving stay on the highway past the Creekside intersection up to ‘Village Gate Blvd.’ where you’ll see the sign Whistler Village and turn right. Then take your first left onto Northlands Blvd. You’ll see The Cascade Lodge on your left and the Delta Village Suites on your right. Keep walking/driving just a few streets down and on the right hand side you’ll find Main Street.
Lock Box:
Now that you have found the Market Pavillion building, to access the lock box find the elevator beside the Crepe Montagne restaurant. On the ground level floor, across the wall where the elevator is, you will see a series of lock boxes. Ours is the top one with the ‘N’ on it for (The Nest). If you are extremely short you may have to stand on the ledge to access it. Enter the code that was set for you and given to you in advance and there will be 2 sets of FOB’s/keys. FOB’s (little grey thing) are for use in the elevator and to the elevator. Just swipe across pad.

Parking Garage: (if driving)
The underground parking garage is located off of Main Street right when you turn onto Main street but you will need to get the keys/FOB (URL HIDDEN) access the underground parking after getting the FOB’s turn into the driveway and use the FOB to open the door. Drive to parking spot #42 (written on ground) on the right side just past the main elevator. (Note: The parking lot is height restricted and a van is about the maximum vehicle height that can enter. Max 6’8” or 2 M. (Storage containers mounted on vehicles will not fit in the underground) Note: Your vehicle must be moved at check out time as the cleaners need to use the parking spot while cleaning the unit.

Main Level Elevator Access:
Once in the elevator swipe the FOB across the black pad and push #3 to access the residential floor. Once out of the elevator turn right and follow along to unit #320. You will pass the shared laundry room and the hot tub both on your left. (use plastic glasses only please...)

To access the internet the network name is: thenest
And the password is: whistler
(Note all small letters and no space)


Linens/Bedding- both the wall bed and sofa bed have a bottom and top sheet provided on them. 4 pillows and pillow cases* are provided as well as 2 blankets, a coverlet and 2 cozy duvets. Dish cloths and dish towels are provided. Tip: put the dishcloth in the dishwasher to clean and sanitize it!
*pillows located in blanket box/coffee table
Towels- 4 bath towels, hand towels and face cloths are provided along with a bath mat. (you could always bring a few extra if you think you need more)
Bring a beach towel for the hot tub or to use by the lake in the summertime. Please place all used linens in the tub at check out time.
Amenities- For your convenience the condo is equipped with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board

Other- An initial amount of garbage bags, toilet paper, facial tissue,shampoo, paper towels, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent and coffee filters is supplied. Salt, pepper, sugar and cooking spray are provided.

**Cleaning of the condo during your stay or changing of linens is not included however for an additional fee this may be arranged. There is a vacuum cleaner for use onsite.

Outside the bathroom door on the right side there is an automatic bathroom humidity control. This is used to regulate the humidity in the bathroom and will turn on automatically in the event you haven’t turned the fan on from the switch in the bathroom. It can be adjusted from the outside.

Prior to opening the beds move the bar stools to the space beside the sofa bed to use as side table when using the sofa bed.

The wall bed pulls down from the wall. It has a very comfy memory foam mattress on it. Open it slightly and pull out the 2 metal legs and bend them downwards to support the bed when it is on the ground. When closing it ensure the legs are stowed away and that the magnets secure it in place.
The seat cushions on the sofa bed can stow behind the wall bed and can be used as a backrest. Tip: Leave the back sofa cushions in place on the sofa bed as a backrest.

TV/DVD Player:
You’ll find the instructions for using the DVD player posted on top of the DVD player. Check out the Whistler Resort station for lots of updates on things happening in Whistler.

Kitchen: There is a full kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave refrigerator, stove, garburator, Starbucks coffee maker.
Please use only the dishwasher soap provided in the dishwasher.

Garburator- Please be careful with this! Only compostable materials can be paced in the garburator. No celery, egg shells, garlic or onion peels please. The on/off switch is behind the coffee maker. You must run the tap while the switch is in use. Tip: put your small leftover lemon/ lime wedges in the garburator to freshen it up!!

Garbage-The main garbage compactor room is located in the far corner of the under ground parking lot.

Cuisinart Coffee/Grinder/ Maker- Fill reservoir to the desired amount. The coffee goes in the paper filters provided. (Push button on left side to open coffee drawer) Push the grind off if using ground coffee, turn on/off knob to on. If using beans remove lid off of top grinder basket to insert beans. Turn on/off knob to on.

Heating/Fireplace/Air Conditioner- Electric heat units are located beside the fireplace the switch is on the wall by the washroom. The fireplace pilot light is switched off for the summer months and is switched back on in the late fall. To use the fireplace in the fall/winter locate the switch on the wall beside the snow shoes and slide the switch over to the right. The air con. switch is located behind the sofa bed. (A rare but greatly appreciated bonus on those hot summer days!)

In case of an emergency dial 911. Remember to leave the building should the fire alarm go off!!!

Use the fan at all times when using the tub/shower. Remember to keep the plastic shower liner in the tub and the cloth shower curtain out of the tub.
Hair dryer: If it stops working it may mean its too hot or try the red switch on the plug itself, sometimes it needs to be reset.

Hot Tub:
The Hot Tub is half outside and half covered. Great to sit in the soothing water and catch snowflakes on your tongue! It is shared with other guests (great way to share your days experiences) and is conveniently located right beside our unit. Use your FOB to access. Drinks are only permitted in non breakable containers. There is a shower and bathroom in the Hot Tub area.

Other: Please respect the owners lock up and food cupboard.

The unit front door doesn’t lock automatically when you leave so remember to use the key on your way out and don’t forget you need the FOB to get back into the building!!!

Winter Stays: Kindly shake off excess snow and remove ski/board/boots before entering the unit. Leave them and your regular shoes and boots on the drip board located at the entrance way.
Please to wipe up any excess water on the slate tiles.
You can store your boards and skis’ on the balcony or in the mudroom across from the bathroom.
Biking Season: There are bike racks in the garage but if you must keep your bikes with you please keep them by the front door on the slate tile. Do not take out to the balcony as the strata fines will be transferred onto you

Long term stays: Mail: There is no direct mail service for the building. You can rent a mail box from the post office conveniently located a few short steps away right in the Marketplace.

Ask the owner about this request. Additional fees apply per pet per stay. No pets on furniture/linens please or left on balcony. Noisy dogs that result in noise complaints may warrant damage deposit charges.

Noise: Whistler is a great place to have fun but this is a residential area too! Please be a good neighbour and keep noise down between 10 pm-7am. Any noise fines levied to the condo will be passed on to you.
If you have a noise complaint call the non emergency RCMP numb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

When you leave/check out:

Check out time is 11:00. Please contact the owners a few days in advance for a later checkout if necessary. We’d be happy to accommodate you if the cleaners schedule allows for a later checkout, an additional fee may apply.

As a good guest who we’d like to welcome you back and in order to receive your damage deposit back or avoid further charges please leave the unit tidy. Empty all cupboards of your supplies, place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on before you leave remove all food from the freezer and refrigerator, remove all garbage/recycling, take used linens off the bed and put used towels/linens in the bathtub. Unusually soiled linens, carpets, unusual unit wear and tear/damage may result in a portion of the damage deposit being held.
This is a strict NON SMOKING unit. If a deep clean is required due to odours caused by smoking in the unit or on the balcony or allowing smoke odours into the unit will result in loss of damage deposit.
Baggage Storage:
Summit Lodge across the street from us may store baggage if checking in or out earlier/ later for a nominal fee. Please be sure to take all your belongings with you after check out as it is a liability issue for our cleaners to leave them in there when they are cleaning.

If you got the FOB’s/ keys from the lock box please return them there and remember to swivel the number bar around.
Otherwise please contact the owners about what to do with the unit keys upon departure. Lost FOB’s/keys have a replacement charge of $150.00 per set.

We hope you treat our family get away with respect and respect other guests in the building. No smoking is permitted in the unit or on the balcony. Guests must be over 23 years of age. We will consider well behaved quiet trained dogs but you must contact us in advance to request this and accept a rate change of the additional pet fee of $55 per stay per dog. Quiet time after 10 pm as per strata rules and city bylaws

We enjoyed our stay the the Nest. The location was central to everything that Whistler has to offer and the check in instructions were very detailed. The condo was very clean and the kitchen facilities were great!

This is a centrally located apartment right in the village. It is fairly quiet, but we did get street noise during Crankfest and some building noise of people coming home late from being out. Overall the spot is perfect for those wishing to venture around Whistler on foot.

Place is fantastic, it is very clean, well organized, and it has everything you need. Location is great as well, close to everything, but also not noisy at all to have a nice relaxed evironment. Host communication is excellent, both with check in and checkout, providing all necessary information. I will definitely return to Whistler and will stay here for sure again. We were feeling like home there all the stay. Highly recommended!

The location is wonderful, right near Olympic plaza. Tons of restaurants, grocery, etc within a block. The unit is quite small. Although it can sleep 5, you'd be on each other's nerves if you spend any amount of waking hours together inside. Also, Whistler in Aug 2017 was so smoky that we could hardly see the mountains. Obviously no fault of this unit, but I would probably not return in August again. Enjoy
