A great Parisien experience

This apartment has been freshly renovated by a French Architect whose practice has been extensive in different countries (USA, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Australia, etc). Working in the past for the Californian architect Frank Gehry, this apt is a humble reinterpretation of the Parisien apartment typology, called Hausmannien Appartment from Baron Hausmann which entirely rebuilt Paris in the 19th century, giving its regular and continuous urban experience. Living in this apartment will trigger a unique experience, mixing typical Parisian signs and objects (metropolitan tiles, vintage furniture) with a global composition using oblique angles: the idea is to use the limited space as efficiently as possible. This difficult equation tends to be solved by playing with the elasticity of space: sometimes the walls/furniture are very generous: this has an effect of spatial contraction for the user (entrance, bathroom). Sometimes the space is used generously, operating as a dilatation (living room, shower). The openings liberates the view: you can see in the bedroom right from the entrance if the door is open, as you can see outside from the shower if you leave the curtain open. This puts an emphasis on the different perspectives on one hand but also on the plans & walls traversed on the other hand: it increases drastically the perception of space.
It is two blocks away from the beautiful Canal St Martin, which means access to all these nice bars and cafes, one of the most popular and most growing Parisian neighborhoods at the moment. Between l'Hotel du Nord, Chez Prune, Le Comptoir Général, you will find the spots which suits any mood!
•5mn away from Metro Goncourt (line 11 direct to Chatelet)
•7mn away from Metro Belleville (Line 2 and 11)
•12mn away from République
•3mn away from 3 different Vélib stations
It is a 2 rooms apartment. You get in the kitchen, next to the living room. A bedroom is separate with lots of shelves.
You have the necessary for basic cooking.
Very adaptive. Can be used as a working space with a vintage desk; it transforms in a big table which could gather 6 people so you can host some people for dinner if you wish. A convertible sofa has 2 extra spots so you can sleep there at four totals.
The separate bedroom as a great mattress, making it very hard for you to wake up in the morning… Seriously I have back problems so I bought the most expensive mattress.
Parisian subway tiles!! You also have a shower, a sink, toilets and soon a washing machine.
Towels and bed sheets provided.
& no smoking inside please...
