My sun filled and beautiful plant haven might make it hard for you to get out and explore the wonders of Taipei! But don’t worry, this studio has everything you need for your stay, whether you are shopping, eating, hiking, or working remotely before enjoying the nature of Taiwan. Unwind at the end of a long day in this cozy spot that is centrally located and conveniently next to public transit.

My studio comes with a comfy double bed and a small couch. It has a wall mounted LED flat screen TV and a neat breakfast nook. There are a small desk and chair for working and a Western-style bathroom.

Enjoy the sunlight and feel free to use the aircon, heat, or humidifier (which the plants love). While my flat is a studio its open concept, intelligent minimal design, and gorgeous chic wood paneling design make it feel roomy. The kitchen area is entirely lined in windows for the best light possible but in case you need a darkened room, there is a wall-length curtain installed for your convenience. Remote workers and makeup wearers alike will enjoy the desk that comes with a double-sided mirror and conveniently located electrical sockets above the desk.

There is an open concept closet with hangers for your vacation outfits along with an over the door hanger and full-length mirror. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a single stove, plenty of counter space, a sink, basic pots and pans, dishware and cutlery, a washing machine for your clothes, and a mini-fridge. If you’d like to hang your clothes to dry there is a drying rod installed above the kitchen sink and they should dry in no time with the number of windows.

The Western style restroom is a sleek black and white tile design comes with a handheld showerhead and glass shelf above the sink for your toiletries. It has a bright window right above the towel rack making the small space feel more spacious. For your convenience fresh towels, bed sheets, shampoo, soap, and toilet paper are provided.

The building and apartment are accessible and have well-lit paths to their entrances. The hallway has a space for your shoes and umbrella if it’s raining. My room is next to the ‘Always Wear A Smile’ art on the wood-paneled wall.

การเข้าถึงของผู้เข้าพัก
Access to the building is by a set of keys, one to the front gate and one to the apartment itself. Once the booking is complete details on receiving the set of keys will be sent upon confirmation. When in possession of the keys, guests are allowed to come and go as they please 24 hours a day. There are no washers and dryers provided in the apartment building so please use the apartment’s washer and drying rack as you please. We respect your privacy so once you have access to the building and apartment we let you enjoy the city on your terms! Should any issues arise please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will assist you immediately. If you need any suggestions for activities or places to eat I’d be happy to give you my best recommendations.

Check in time is after 14:00 and check out the next day is before 12:00. The apartment is non-smoking, should you smoke inside you will be fined. Smoking is allowed in the window with the window open only.

We ask that no pets are brought into the building and apartment as it is strictly against the rules of the tenancy. We also ask that because this is a residential neighborhood and building that no parties or events are held in the apartment and that you keep the noise level reasonable to respect our neighbors.

Da’an District ไทเป ไต้หวัน

My apartment is located in the Da’an District of Taipei City. It is set back and away from the main road so it is quaint and quiet with a park nearby. It is literally a 3-minute walk to the train station and from there you can go anywhere in the city!

Across the road from the apartment is Watson’s for your pharmacy needs, Cosmed, a 24/7 supermarket, convenience stores, fast food restaurants and the Normal University Night Market with delicious and cheap local food and fantastic shopping.

For food close by there are so many options it’s impossible to list all my favorites. You could walk around and find a dozen great coffee shops and restaurants without venturing too far. Taipei is known for its delicious food and because my neighborhood is located by the Uni there’s so much to try!

A 2 minute walk through the neighbourhood will take you to 海拉麵 which is a Ramen shop across the street from the Color C’ode dessert shop if you want to use Google Maps to get there. It is cash only and often a line so be prepared. Delicious foods and tender pork come in generous portions. There are menus in English and it is a custom Ramen place so you can make yours how you like it! The employees are great and service is relatively quick so a great experience. If you have any room afterwards be sure to check out the dessert place across the street and try a raspberry or blueberry tart, but there’s no going wrong with a classic slice of chocolate cake.

Right around the corner is a great burger joint called KGB Kiwi Gourmet. They have a huge menu with something for everyone, including vegetarians! It’s super cosy and the food is super delicious. They play great music and cap off your evening with milkshakes if you have any room left.

5 minutes walk up North there is a section with a restaurant from every culture around the world! In a 2 block radius you can get Taipei soy braised food, Thai food, a Korean restaurant, Italian food, and 2 different dessert restaurants. If that’s not enough for you, there’s the Shida Night Market which features tons a cheap, traditional, street food. It’s on the smaller side so not so packed with people which is great. They have cute souvenirs and clothes for all genders and ages. Tons of interesting shops and cafes around the night market as well.

For the late night partier or if you just are peckish, around the block is the Longquan Fish Soup joint. It’s open late which is great for students and night owls alike. They serve super fresh fish soup along with other rice dishes at a great price.

A 10 minute walk away is the Taipei City Hakka Cultural Park. This park has tons of green space and a bike bridge to the riverfront. It’s great to bring family here or come to learn about Hakka culture. They have a music and theatre centre for weekend activities.

There are a lot of shopping centres combined with night markets in Taipei, easily accessible by public transit. A 10 minute ride on green line takes you to Gongguan Shopping district. Tons of street food and cheap clothing and shoes. There’s also an organic farmer’s market every Saturday in the area. If shopping malls are more of an interest, take the green line 20 minutes to the Taipei City Mall. It has tons of shops with cheap prices and is located underground beneath the subway.

There’s plenty of nightlife in Taipei to explore as well. Around the corner, a prompt 1 minute walk away is Oldie Goodie Live Music House is a cozy but fantastic place to listen to live music and sip on delicious cocktails. Down the street, a little further is the Blue Note which is an excellent jazz bar. They have great cocktails and if you want to kill a little time before going there’s a night market nearby with food.

If you want dancing check out Chess Taipei which is a 15-minute car ride or a 40-minute subway ride. AI Night Club is right around the corner as is WAVE CLUB if you want to make it a full night. Closer to the apartment is Lost in NEMEA which is a 15-minute subway ride. It’s not dancing but more of a chill vibe, with great cocktails, darts, and good music. For a classy, more intimate flavor check out Bar After Nine Whiskey, a 10-minute bus ride or 20-minute walk or subway ride away. They’re a multi-level industrial style bar with a great atmosphere, tasty food, and of course, whiskey.
