San Francisco recycles. Please help us avoid possible fines by disposing of trash properly sorted. I will provide easy guidelines at check-in.
Please be courteous, communicative, neat, and respectful. Thanks!
Please kindly clean up after yourself in the kitchen if you choose to utilize it to cook a meal. Remember to turn on the exhaust-fan before you begin to use the gas-range.
Your private bathroom in the hallway is marked by an red anchor on the door. Please turn on "all" lights as the automatic light goes off after a few minutes of entering the bathroom. Kindly wipe the glass clean using the squeegee placed in the shower after use. If you forget any toiletries, Safeway (convenience store) is a 1-min walk from the home and carries all essentials. It's also open 24hours a day.
You will receive the code once the reservation is accepted.
Entering the house: Push the 4-digit code on the keys, you will see a green blinking light. Once the light is green, turn the knob underneath the keys to the right and the lock is now open. Once you are inside, you can turn the knob to lock the door.
Leaving the house: Same as above. This time turn the knob to the left to lock the door before you leave.
Monster is a lab retriever mix and is very friendly and inquisitive. He is well-trained and a loving dog. Feel free to pet and play with him
Please do not feed anything to the dog. He’s an expert at begging for food (most dogs are) and if you feel bothered by him, please say “Out” command and he is trained to go away.
Be careful to not leave the front door open during your stay. Monster is good about staying in, but he will run outside if there’s an interesting noise, smell or a squirrel
Tim is my room-mate and works from home often. Michael is our neighbor and lives upstairs. If I’m not home, either Tim or Michael might be able to answer your questions and offer suggestions. However, please contact me via txt and Airbnb as the preferred method of communication.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR FIRST TIME AIRBNB GUESTS TO SAN FRANCISCO
Please arrive with the mindset that you are staying as a Guest in someone's home, and the experience is not designed to be like a hotel. It helps to understand this difference prior to booking.
If you are a very light sleeper, have never shared a home with someone before, or are accustomed to room service and staff, then this Airbnb might be challenging.
You should also expect that San Francisco is a liberal, ethnically diverse, urban and progressive City. My home is near the Mission/Potrero district which is famous for a vibrant and diverse community.
If your style of travel is to be open and communicative to the world and different cultures around you, and you have a genuine affinity and curiosity to how locals live in a real neighborhood in your host city, Airbnb is a wonderful match. If not, check out the many fine hotels in San Francisco as a great alternative for your visit.
Friendly, respectful, humble. I enjoy big cities as much as nature, long hikes and animals. I have 5 yo lab-mix dog, own my home in San Francisco and love meeting people from all over the world. LGBT and gay friendly. This wonderful city has been my home for over 12 years, but I have lived in Berkeley, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Mumbai
