Rejuvenate in your own private villa amongst the tree tops of the Sidemen Valley. Take in amazing views from your own private swimming pool or experience 'Old Bali" from the expansive wooden veranda. Fully staffed, two bedroom home with kitchen.
Created by celebrated designer Made Wijaya, the residence blends modern elements with traditional Balinese style.
Extensive use of timber and a traditional Alang Alang (thatch) roof gives the villa an inviting and warm feel.
Bidadari is a genuine stand alone villa which overlooks working rice terraces and has a view that stretches all the way to the Sanur coast.
The main bedroom on the upper level is large and provides wonderful views. The second bedroom on the ground floor is smaller and leads directly to the outdoor bathroom. The fan cooled villa offers a guest kitchen and indoor living space however you might choose to spend your time on the large veranda or by the private swimming pool.
Guests have access to all areas.
Pondok Bidadari has staff to cater to your needs for the duration of your stay. The working hours of your staff are dependent upon your needs and are very flexible. Staff normally arrive a little before your chosen breakfast time and will leave around 5.00 P.M (or later if you are having your evening meal at the villa).
For many guests, interacting with the Bidadari staff adds a personal element to their stay and many leave with a feeling they have made new friends and learned more about Balinese culture.
For others, enjoying Pondok Bidadari and its surrounds in a more private setting is very appealing and important. If this is you, please let us know your preference and staff hours will be organised to suit your needs. All of your staff live very close to Pondok Bidadari and can therefore leave and return to the villa to suit your privacy needs
Bidadari is located in Banjar Kebon, Sidemen and is 1.7 km from Sidemen Village on the Klungkung-Sidemen road.
My family and I discovered Sidemen 12 years ago after trawling through travel blogs. I was searching for a destination which could provide a truly Balinese experience for my young children. We found ourselves returning to Sidemen again and again, eventually building a home. Our vision for the home was to "feel like we were living in the tree tops". I think we have achieved that.
