After visiting the Lake District for many years ,following my parents moving up there in the 1980s , in 2006 I took my husband Kevin to Cartmel on a sunny day, there was a cider festival on at the Kings Arms and Morris dancers in the village square. He fell in love with the place and we bought a holiday home there. We were living in Manchester at the time and it was a great escape and we got to know lots of people there. Now we live in the country and don't get up there so often but that means we can let it more often to the lovely people using airbnb.! My brother has used airbnb a lot for his holidays successfully so I felt confident to use it.
