Our rustic River Houseboat is on the edge of the Pootatuck River on our lower pond. The Houseboat has a comfy queen bed and a screened porch complete with two antique rocking chairs. The River Houseboat is often preferred because it is located close to the main Stone Barn and parking lot. The Stone Barn is open 24 hours and has a hot shower, toilet, and common room with internet and books. Keep in mind that because this cabin is located at the base of the mountain it is not as secluded as the other cabins.
The Stone Barn has a grill outside and a full kitchen inside that guests are welcome to use.
There is also a fully equipped Rustic Kitchen located up in the woods.
-The bathroom is not located in the cabin. Both the bathroom and showers are located a one minute walk away in the Stone Barn
-There is a small bonfire pit located near the cabin. Five log bundles are available for $5.
-DOGS are not allowed in this cabin
-Candles are not allowed in the cabins
-We do have wi-fi in the stone barn that reaches this cabin but it can be a little undependable
We have an organic bio intensive vegetable garden, a 54' Chartre Moss and Stone Labyrinth, a Zig Zag Moss Walk up the mountain, lots of trails throughout the 60 acres, state of the art composting toilets and rustic outdoor showers, unique stone sculptures, a lookout Faerie Gazebo, two lower ponds off the River and one up atop the mountain, which is spring fed with ice cold water, bring your suit! DURING TIMES OF DROUGHT THESE PONDS MAY BE TOO LOW FOR SWIMMING!
Guests can be as secluded as they want tucked away in their cabin, or can come join in with farm activities.

Please arrive before dark for easy check in. If you are coming from NYC allow time for traffic. Please let us know what you will be arriving as soon as possible.
This is not a party place. People come here to enjoy nature and if you're good time interferes with other people's good time then we will need to ask you to leave.
Much aloha and peace to all during your visit at Sticks and Stones Farm!

Hi! My name is Sam and I am managing Sticks and Stones Farm for over 25 years. I and others have built multiple cabins throughout the property that we now share with others.
I am also a massage therapist - please private message me if you are interested.
The farm is a magical place and a perfect "getaway" from the craziness that life sometimes throws at us. The farm has a very impressive moss garden as well as a stone and moss Labyrinth. My son, Ethan Currier, is a successful stone sculptor and his work can be found around the property.
All of us at the farm love to live simply, sustainably and with presence. We love clean food, music, yoga and so many other good things :-)
I love to get to know people from all walks of life... for me diversity is unity and nothing thrills me more than getting to know others and share with them this dreamy place that I live at.
I look forward to helping you have your own little rendezvous with nature!
