The house is located in an old hutong near the famous Nanluoguxiang street in Gulou area. It is 60m2, one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, big living room, and yard. It is a really good place to stay if you want to enjoy Beijing local life.
the house is located in a humongous historical yard from the late Qing dynasty, in the famous black sesame alley. The main house of the compound used to be the residence of the late imperial ministry of coal and my house used to be the residence of the guards of the minister. It is Carefully renovated with bamboo wooden floor and oriental interior design. This is a private entity and you will have exclusive access to the whole guardian house.
It is convenient for a family with kids to stay because the living room is very spacious and with the foldable sofas, can be transformed into a bed room. The interior design is minimal, with some Zen ENSO paintings, some antique furniture, persian pattern curtains/rug, and plenty of beautiful plants which you will need to water. The living room is a nice space to hold meditation/yoga sessions.

I have been living in Beijing for four years. I do many different things, ethnographic films, improvisation theater, cooking, calligraphy, meditation... I like to experience Chinese traditional and local life, that's why I chose to live in an old hutong house, I hope you will enjoy it as I do!
