The room is ideal for two people, but I realize some are okay with a tight fit. The chaise lounge slides forward dropping the back pillow down extending the length of it about a foot. I am 6ft. Slept on it may times with no issues. It's comfortable like a twin bed. The loft bed is full size double for two adults-- comfy memory foam mattress. You must be able to climb a ladder to the loft bed to stay here. Unless, you are a party of one and would like to sleep on the chaise.
Room Size 9x10
Guest are welcome to fruit, coffee, sugar, Stevia, and maybe creamer, chips, body soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and clean towels-- the normal things. There is an iron and board behind the bedroom door, and hair dryer in the bathroom. Anything else should be purchased at the store.
Exercise equipment for you to use: photos posted for what is available.
Option A: building has washers and dryers in the basement. Laundry card is on the refrigerator-- recharged by the machine in laundry room. There might be some washing credits from the previous person. ;)
Option B: drop off your clothes at the laundry mat across the street. It cost about the same and they fold it.
If I'm having a glass of wine, I would most likely invite you for a glass. I'm nice like that. :)
The apartment has security cameras in the living room and kitchen, motion detectors, door sensors, every floor in the building and elevator have cameras connected directly to the police department, so there will be no security issues.
Plus, the superintendent is very nice and aware of everything going on in the building. It is definitely overkill, but I understand the need to feel safe.
Consider a NYer's warm home a safe place to leave your things, sleep, shower, and nibble. You are here to enjoy the city. Think cozy space in a massive city! :)
CLUB EVENT INFO:
Please, take your shoes off at the door. Let's keep the yucky stuff at the door, right? I have allergies so not pets are allowed. There's no smoking in the house, but you are welcome to smoke on the roof. Be respectful by cleaning up after yourself, and be considerate to my neighbors. People that live in the building are nice.
Hello. I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina and moved around to a few places before landing in NYC sixteen years ago. My southern twang will come out when I get excited.
I am creative, technical, inquisitive, spontaneous, passionate, adventurous, athletic, open minded, intelligent, and thoughtful. Love traveling and the outdoors. Snowboarding is my favorite winter sport. Don't be a ski snob. I play well with others. :)
ENFP for those that care. The long version of the M&B puts me in the middle of E/I, F/T, and P/J. Not sure what that means besides being very versatile in my compatibility with others.
It's hard to say what I do because I wear many hats. Currently, an art director for a corporation in Soho. The bulk of my income comes from photography, retouching, video recording/editing, and sound engineering. I'm a closeted entrepreneur. Inventing stuff is a hobby. Building a 3D printer makes me a bit of a geeky nerd. I studied electrical and computer engineering and ended up graduating with an audio engineering degree. Am always eager to learn something new.
Not really a novel reader, but I do read all the time. I like to read books related to the psychology of something, and DIY books. Some of my favorite magazines are Wired, Make, The Economist, The New Yorker, ID, Fast Company, and Communication Art. Definitely a news feed junkie on the subway: mostly tech, science, economy, and design topics.
I don't have cable, but I do have an Apple TV and Roku box— cable cutter for years. I have many favorite series, but here are some: Breaking Bad, True Blood, Prison Break, Broadway Empire...
I'm not super picky about food. I will try most things once. My favorite foods are Mediterranean, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican.
Shows are notoriously difficult to not seeing being gay and in nyc so long.
I love art and discover weekly on Spotify.
