Located on beautiful M-22 in Leelanau County, this rustic Bed and Breakfast lodge offers three guest rooms with private baths. West Bay is just across the street. Featuring food from the Grand Traverse Pie Company.
This home originally belonged to Larry Wakefield, a local mink farmer, historian, and writer. We added on, maintaining the character of the original home, which was built in the 1940's with cedar paneling, inside and out.
The Molly Maguire Room has a private bathroom across the hall from the room.
Guests will have access to the Front Yard, Beach, Two Decks, the Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room, and Guest Rooms. The Kitchen, Garages, Laundry Room, Back Yard, and Attic Apartment are not shared with Guests, though guests should feel free to help themselves to cherry pie ala mode, coffee, and tea at any time.
There is 200' of beach frontage on West Grand Traverse Bay across the street.
Marie and Ted will be present in the home, as Innisfaire is a Bed and Breakfast. Our guests will call the shots as far as how we interact.

I am a social worker turned family law attorney. My husband, Ted, is a retired plastics engineer and builder. He built much of our house, which is now way too big for us, as our two daughters are grown. One daughter lives in Berkley, Michigan. The other daughter lives in Chicago, Illinois. We are originally from the Detroit area, but we went to high school in Traverse City. We love living in Traverse City!
Ted and I went to the same high school in Traverse City, and then followed each other to various colleges, before we finally started dating each other, 30 years later. I am a MSU Alum. Ted graduated from CMU.
My older daughter went to the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. My younger daughter attended Michigan State University, Loyola University, and the Adler Institute of Psychology. In short, we cheer for both U of M and MSU!
