Adorable 2 bedroom townhouse in one of the best historic districts of Pittsburgh. Charming private cottage set back from the street with lovely garden.
Entire property includes fabulous private garden and patio and historic "alleyhouse"/townhouse on one of the best Mexican War Street blocks. Walking distance to all stadiums, downtown, Andy Warhol Museum and Mattress Factory, casino, aviary, theatres, childrens' museum, etc. Bike/walk along the riverfront. Kayak on the river. Fantastic garden and best neighborhood/neighbors in the Mexican War St. historic district. Close to Southside, Shadyside, Oakland. Enjoy all that Pittsburgh has to offer. The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a queensize bed and the other with 2 twin beds, one bath, an eat-in kitchen and a living room.
Guests will have the entire house and garden to themselves. Parking has to be found on the street but not too difficult. Keys will be provided by coordinating a meeting time with the next door neighbor who watches our home when we are not there.
Our neighbor/manager is an urban farmer and keeps bees and chickens and manages the community garden. Our guests are expected to be respectful of neighbors' schedules and lifestyles and keep a low profile.

We are a retired couple who lived and worked in Pittsburgh years ago and have also lived in Massachusettes, North Carolina, Buffalo, New York City and now Ithaca, NY. We split our time between our beautiful lake house on Lake Cayuga in Ithaca and our pied a'terre in Pittsburgh. We have 3 children who live in Brooklyn and Washington DC. And 2 grandchildren, so we are often on the road visiting our kids and other family and friends around the country. We love to travel and to support the arts, so we have a lot of wonderful antiques, art and photography that we have collected over the years and now have in our homes. In our careers, I was an editor and a lawyer and Richard was a Theatre Professor, Actor and Director. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories, but if we don't get to meet our guests we hope you enjoy staying at our one of our homes!
