The guest bedroom and bath is available for your stay in San Jose, just a short walk from SJSU, the Convention Center, and downtown attractions. The room has a new queen sized bed, desk, mini-fridge and is directly adjacent to a semi-private bathroom.
Built in 1923, this well-maintained 3 bedroom home is bright and friendly, with a quirky combination of antique furnishings and modern toys: the pinball machine was made in 1970, the cocktail robot in 2013, and the 3D printer in 2014. My home is on one of the largest lots in the neighborhood, with an expansive lawn, fruit trees, vegetable gardens and a large deck. You are always welcome to enjoy the sun (or the shade) on the backyard deck.
Located a short walk from downtown San Jose in the historic Naglee Park neighborhood, our home provides a safe, quiet landing space with easy parking and quick access (2 minutes to HWY 280) to all the best the Bay Area has to offer.
The blue guest room is furnished with a beautiful antique oak queen bed (the mattress was purchased new in November 2015), desk, and a small refrigerator. Relax in the overstuffed reading chair with a book from the well-stocked bookshelf or browse with your laptop on our wifi.
The marble-tiled semi-private bathroom with a bathtub/shower and soft fluffy towels is the first door next to your room. Your bathroom may be shared with friends who might visit during the day and on very rare occasions, overnight house guests.
The cozy living room has the most comfortable couch, but you may have to share it with Sir Gussman Pooftail (or just Gus), and Ruth "Beta" Ginzburg, the resident felines in good standing. Please note that Cats are strictly not allowed in the guest room or guest bath. They are friendly, and content to ignore you if you ignore them.
In addition to their bedroom and semi-private bath, guests may also use the living room, laundry facilities, shaded patio, and large back yard.
Free on-street parking is available - remind me to loan you the visitor parking pass that's required weekdays between 9am and 1pm.
I am often at home when guests first arrive and during their stay.
The check in time is flexible, but generally require that guests pick a one hour slot between 2pm and 10pm. Other times may be arranged depending on date and availability.
A minimum stay of two days on Friday and Saturday nights is preferred, and I require that guests verify their ID through Airbnb.
The cat is not allowed in the guest room or guest bathroom (and don't let him convince you otherwise), so please keep the doors to these rooms shut.
For your safety and mine, double check the front door to make sure that it's closed and locked.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house or near any open doors or windows.
A few days before you arrive, please choose a 1 hour window to check in between 2pm and 10pm.
