A large and sunny four bedroom ground floor apartment, perfect for large/extended families or a group. Well located to enjoy all the delights of London yet has a home from home environment that brings guests back year after year.


Family friendly accommodation in London.

We are ideally situated to offer tourists easy access to central London's major sites, Greenwich and the Kent countryside is also accessible. We have 2 main line stations within a 5 minute walk, a 20 minute ride takes you to Charing Cross in the heart of London's West End. Trains run every 15 minutes throughout the day.

The large gardens have lawn and patio areas complete with furniture and for the children a variety of outdoor game equipment and swings.

Each apartment has been converted to provide comfortable acommodation with excellent decor and furnished to a high standard.
Internet access to all apartments.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Apartments are centrally heated.

This ground floor London self catering apartment has 4 bedrooms.
The lounge/ dining room is a large room with a vaulted ceiling.
The galley kitchen is open plan to the lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped.
The main self catering London bedroom has a Savoy Hotel bed. Can be a very large double or 2 singles. There is an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and basin.
The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and basin.
There is a private patio with table and chairs.


Guests have access to all communal areas.


I am on site one or two days a week. Simon, my manager, is available Mon - Fri, 9am to 5pm to make sure guests have everything they need.
Outside these hours there is emergency contact numbers.

At Glenthurston we try to allow guests freedom to enjoy their stay in London in the way they would like, but ask that respect is shown to the property and other guests at all times.
We don't allow smoking in the building, as it's law in the UK, and we ask smokers to move away from the building to prevent open windows allowing tobacco smells inside.
We don't allow large groups of all male/female/under 21s, and whilst we encourage bbqs in the summer, we ask guests to keep noise to a minimum outside after 11pm, that includes music being turned off.
The pool is open from 8am to 10pm and ask guests to respect timings as we add chemicals overnight. Additionally no glass of any kind is permitted in the pool area, guests must shower before using the pool and wear a swimming costume. There is no lifeguard so the pool is used entirely at guest's risk and under 14s must be supervised at all times. The sauna operates with £1 coins at £2 per hour. Again no under 14s without adult supervision.
The communal lounge is available to all guests, we ask you to leave it tidy after use. The kitchen area can be used but washing up must be done before you leave the room. The pool table operates with a 50p coin, we allow younger children to use but ask parents to monitor their behaviour.
We try to be flexible with check in time if a gurst's flight arrives early morning, or leaves late on departure day. Any early check in or late check out should be arranged before the day.
On departure day we do ask guests to leave the apartment tidy, kitchen clear of food, dishes etc washed and bins emptied. Damage, breakages or excessive cleaning will be charged to your security deposit. There is an inventory in the apt and we ask guests to alert staff to any shortages on day one. We do provide an initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toilet rolls and rubbish sacks but you will need to buy more through your stay.
Ultimately we would like our guest's stay at Glenthurston to be a home from home experience, one they would be happy to recommend to others.

We had some check-in issues and some other very small issues but all was taken care of by Sue and another gentleman who takes care of all maintenance and other concerns on Sues behalf named Simon. Always going the extra mile for the customer as well as Sue being more than accommodating with our small concerns. Great place to stay a beautiful estate.

Loved the apartment! We had 5 adults and 3 small children. There was plenty of room in the apartment and two showers was a great convenience. Wish we could have used the pool more during the day, but the pool was "closed" for swim lessons each day. It was a very easy walk to the Catford train station which made an easy trip into London. I highly recommend the Glenthurston for large families/groups. Thanks for a wonderful stay Sue.

The location is superb as it was within walking distance to 2 stations (Catford Bridge/ Catford) in Zone 3. This provide alternate route in case of train delays. Do note that Catford Bridge is on Southeastern line which is not inside the older tude map. The house is located within walking distance to Lild (where you can get your groccery) and JD store (selling sport ware). The apartment A was clean and have all the utensils required. With a range of books including London travel guides, offered reading materials to occupy the mind as well as for those who need to plan any additional iternaries. DO note that there is more than 1 apartnent with the house, so there are other tentants walking around the house in common areas. The indoor pool depth is 1.3 meters to 1.7 meters from end to end, its lenght is est. 25 meter. Had a great time playing with my kids in the water. Like all parking lots in UK (ie within houses), the entrance & exit fits a car breath with a slight comfortable space. If all parking spaces are taken up, there are alternate parking spaces behind the house. Give Sue/Sam a call if you encouter this situation. Overall a good place to stay and Siue & Sam have been responsive & helpful through out our stay.

We had a wonderful time and the apartment was great. It gave our family plenty if room to relax and the accommodations were fantastic.

My party of 7 adults stayed in Apartment 1 from 1-6 October 2013 and we were all very happy with the apartment which came very well equipped. We had comfortable beds for every one. There is a supermarket and shops at the nearby Catford Centre and a comfortable 5 minute walk to the train station. Excellent place!

Self catering is widely known as a term in the uk. I own and run Glenthurston Estates and have done since 1998. I have lived in London all my life and love it as a city. I have three grown up children, my partner Simon, his two girls and Bernie the dog. Glenthurston is a passion and I love every aspect of my business. Thanks to the internet I have shared my passion with many guests from around the world, so much so that we have just launched Ravensbourne House specifically for the many groups who have visited over the years. A new offering that is already proving popular and is an exciting new addition to the Glenthurston Estate.
