The immediate location:
Aberdovey has recently been voted on a popular TV programme the third most attractive place to live in the UK. It is a delightful, relaxing, unspoilt place and is protected by being in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Our house overlooks the village and sea and is a 5 minute walk to the centre of the village. The beach is magnificent - 4 miles of white sands and dunes. Aberdovey boasts of award winning hotels, restaurants and pubs. It has a championship golf course rated in the top 100 in the UK, sailing and water sports at the Dovey yacht club, excellent river and sea fishing, wonderful walks and sights to see for hikers, bird watchers and cyclists. Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate.
The wider area in general:
Aberdovey is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain and valley scenery in Wales. Within easy reach are the renowned peaks of Cader IdriAran Fawddwy, Aran Benily, the Rhinogs, the beautiful Happy Valley, the fantasy village of Port Meirion and the market town of Machynlleth. From Aberdovey the whole arc of Cardigan Bay is laid out, from the rugged wild mountains of Northern Snowdonia and the mysterious Bardsey Island. To the south the mystic Preseli mountains and Pembrokeshire coastline reach out into the wild Atlantic Ocean.
The accommodation, which comfortably sleeps up to 8 people, is tastefully decorated and furnished to a modern design.
The living area is situated on the first floor with sleeping accommodation on the ground floor.
