Cosy Cabin is one of the 10 unique chalets/log cabins at Eingedi Retreat, a game farm in the Eastern Free state, South Africa.

This log cabin, with its perfectly rustic touch, can comfortably host up to 5 people.

Complementary tea, coffee, homemade rusks and fresh milk are provided.

Our summers are warm and vibrant and winters crisp with cosy nights and mild days.
Make full use of our facilities as you enjoy and explore this place with the swimming pools, braai/barbecue areas, picnic spots and play ground.

You can hike, cycle or stroll through the mountains and plains and get really up close with the fascinating wild animals. We have a variety of plains game for you to marvel at, including Zebra, Eland, Wildebeest, Blesbok, and Springbok among others. You might even spot our family of Llama! You can also book a game drive with our nature guide on our big 4x4 Unimog to have the full wildlife experience.

Children love our farm lifestyle and are welcome to join in the excitement as we milk our cow, Eliza, in the mornings and feed the geese mornings and evenings, find the woolly sheep and friendly ostrich, Dorcas, in the fields and coo at the baby chicks and ducklings.

We offer an incredible buffet breakfast outside under the pavilion. Enjoy the delicious, healthy, homegrown, homemade spread in the beautiful garden setting - it really is a memorable meal experience!

We grow most of our own food with non-gmo heirloom seeds and no pesticides, and in harvest season the produce is plentiful! We often have more than we know what to do with and sell to our guests to eat and enjoy during their stay with us.

To keep the food through the winter months we have a lot of preserves coming out our busy kitchen, from sweet jams to savory chutneys and all sorts of pickled veggies. We've also begun selling our cheeses. So you can also buy and enjoy these healthy homemade items.

We run this facility on biblical principles, and our slogan is taken from John 8:37-38 "RIVERS OF LIVING WATER". Come and experience the wholesome living and peace that can be found here.

Eingedi Retreat is about a half an hour drive from the nearest town... so we are the neighbourhood! The stillness is exactly what a retreat should be and starry night skies without any city lights are awe-inspiring.

We love our home on this beautiful game farm and have decided it needs to be shared for others to be able to experience as well. Our days are happy and full with all the farm work to be done, meals to prepare and people to host.
