Abbey Cottage is a detached house that has been restored to a very high standard, creating a comfortable and stylish base from which to explore Southern Scotland and Northern England.
The house can very comfortably accommodate 6 people -and up to 8 - with three double bedrooms (one with twin beds) on the first floor, and a further room on the second with a sofa-bed.
On the ground floor there is a dining room and living room, both with open fires and a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room.
There is a shower room with WC on the ground floor, and a traditional bathroom upstairs with huge bath.
The house has a large garden to the side with a delightful sunny front garden, and a patio at the rear for outdoor dining.
The enclosed driveway has parking for 3 cars and there is also a small car park in the village square.
You will have exclusive use of the property which is detached and within its own gardens. The garden is extensive and secure, with steps to the side garden where there is a large area of grass, little orchard and and washing line. There is lockable outbuilding for bikes, kayaks or surfboards etc. available by prior notice being given.
We are based In Edinburgh and sometimes able to greet you personally, but only ever a short journey away should any emergencies occur! Inside the house there is lots of additional information We can offer local tips and advice on places to go, things to see and good restaurants/cafes.
The house is non smoking and we welcome well-behaved dogs downstairs - as long as you keep muddy paw prints off the carpets and dogs off the furniture!
Please leave things where you find them, remember this is our home, and we appreciate finding it as we left it.

I am an Art teacher from Edinburgh where I live with my partner, daughters and dogs. I love the city and the seaside and enjoy being within easy reach of both.
