Double bed in a quiet, light, airy and spacious room at the back of Victorian village house overlooking garden. The room has a workspace and TV with an internal arial, with wardrobe and storage space available. Private use of main bathroom which has a full bath and separate shower. We provide a bathrobe for use to walk to the bathroom, hairdryer and WiFi access.

Please note our location relative to your needs. A car is recommended although a pleasant 25 minute walk into Stone. Oulton is a quiet, friendly village, with two pubs, only one serving food, Tuesday to Sunday only (closed Monday, and Sunday evening). We are one and a half miles from the canal town of Stone where there are supermarkets, independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Stone has a Farmers Market 1st Saturday of every month and community local events. including the annual Stone Festival in June and Food Festival in October. Those who enjoy walking, just 5 mins walk from our house is a lovely walk over Oulton Heath where the views from the top of the hill look down over the village and across to the Wrekin and the Shropshire Hills. You can also take the canal path from Stone towards Aston Marina to the south with a good restaurant No 26 and World of Wedgwood to the North for the museum and fabulous new restaurant Lunar. Trentham Gardens is a popular venue for the Italian Gardens and Lakeside walk and shopping and restaurants. Shugborough National Trust stately home south of Stafford also offers an enjoyable day out right on the doorstep of the beauty of Cannock Chase. Alton Towers is just 15 miles away, around 30 mins drive.

Married to Alex with two gorgeous grown up children and our Springer Spaniel, Panda. Live in a small village, work occasional temporary admin shifts for NHS and sing in an All Woman community choir. Alex is retired and and helps out at a Community project and in the village and does occasional invigilating at the local school. We both enjoy walking the dog and a laugh with friends and relaxing at home with a good film and country cottage escapes when we can. We have hosted in our home since June 2018 and loved meeting and greeting all our guests.
