Below the slightly elevated beds luggage can be stored conveniently. The rooms are very small but they are clean and offer a convenient set up many international travelers are looking for.

Wifi is available in the whole building. A nice roof terrace offers beautiful views over the city. The location is central, close to the university. It takes 10-15 minutes to the tourist area at the riverside or 1.5 km according to Google Maps.

As there are many students living in the area, prices are lower than in other districts and it gets busy in the evening with students in the streets. Around ten at night it will then get much quieter as people are going home.

In the morning it is good to get up early to get a feel of the city and see the city awaken and people going to work. For breakfast you can get a nice bread (Banh Mi) in one of the stalls or at Saigon Bakery, which is only 50 metres away (turn left in front of the building). There are also all kinds of other snacks sold for breakfast, for example sweet sticky rice and home made soy milk. Be aware that most food stalls will pack up already around 10 'o clock. If you want you can take your breakfast to one of the cafes, order a Vietnamese ice coffee (Cafe Da) or what you like and enjoy the snacks you bought with it. This is perfectly ok in Vietnam. Or you just go to the roof terrace on the building and enjoy it there.

Since June 2017, we started to offer self-service complimentary breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00 am daily. (toast, jam, butter, instant coffee or tea)

Around midday there is only little activity as it is usually very hot at that time of the day and people prefer not to be in the sun.

Good places to visit in the area are the Pagoda opposite, the two small churches in the street and the Xuan Khanh market.

It is also nice to get into the local culture, if you visit a hairdresser and to get a nice head massage.

If you like to dive more into local culture and meet, just go into one of the cafe places all over the place. The ones that look a bit nicer and have AC usually attract students and you find that some of them speak better English and other languages. Some cafes switched to sweet milk tea and there are not always big signs in front. Just look through the windows and you will see what kind of places there are. Do not be afraid - most places facing the street are shops in the area. So you will not be interfering with anyones private life.

In the cheaper street cafes you probably meet firstly people who only speak Vietnamese. There are also many people selling lottery tickets stopping in those cafes, which might be interesting. Some travelers like to have a quieter time. In this case look for cafes that have a second floor above the ground floor. Usually there are not any lottery ticket sales going on there.

Many people visit Can Tho to see the floating markets. It is difficult to get to the markets yourself as they are a bit away from the city and only accessible by boat. The person on the ground floor desk can help you to book a private boat just for yourself. Costs depend on the length of the tour. It is around 15USD-30USD for boat rides from 3-7 hours. The price is the same if you go with one, two or three people. For bigger groups they will take bigger boats and the price is slightly higher. All prices include free taxi pick up at the house. The boat rides usually finishes at the riverside in the centre, where you can explore the city before you go back to the house (by yourself).

Hello, my name is Hong Phuc and with my family I am running this beautiful place for international guests in our yellow building called 'Xoai'. Xoai translated means "Mango", cause with love mangos.

We opened in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) in the centre of Cantho in the Xuan Khanh quarter close to Can Tho University, the Tham Tuong church and the Quang Duc Pagoda. To get to the riverside front, where many tourists like to go takes around 15 mins or 1.5 km according to (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps.

Most of our rooms are small and some are tiny, but all rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet, fan, air condition, telephone and window. And we are cleaning everyday.

There is wifi in the whole building and we have computers with Internet access at the entrance. An elevator brings you up to the roof terrace, where you can relax in a hammock.

We also offer free maps, a free media library with over 100 movies and documentaries, and we book a floating market tour for you, if you want. We can also help you to book a bus and we will not take any charges for those bookings.

Unfortunately, in a busy city like Can Tho there are sometimes mice hiding between buildings. That is why we have a cat, whose name is Kiki.

In our house we use exclusively energy-saving lamps. And our hot water supply is carried completely by solar collectors, that store heat also overnight and keep the water hot at all times.
