This is a big sofa you can crash on in my living room, there are two sofas in this room . I make it semi private with a drape across the door. You should be a good or sound sleeper if this is your choice so you are not disturbed. Earplugs provided.
It is like sleeping in a museum according to my guests.
This is your own semi-private room in a beautiful eclectic home, everyone says it has a European vibe. Privacy is created with a drape across the doorway, no one can see in, but you may not have conversational privacy at all times and you may hear what is going on in the house. This is not a noisy house but if you are a very sensitive sleeper this may not be the rental for you... I can provide ear plugs for you if you would like.
I make the sofa a bed with a memory foam topper, bunky board and proper sheets, blankets and pillows. It is as wide as a twin bed but longer.
The other sofa is a standard depth and eight feet long. I make that up with sheets, blankets and pillows as well but no topper due to the depth issue.
You will have use an unattached SHARED bathroom with a shower and tub over looking the garden as well as use of the public spaces in the house, and this is a big house!
This room has a television with streaming video and TV content via Hulu and Netflix among others.

********On August 1, 2016 Airbnb started collecting all hotel taxes due to the City of Los Angeles on behalf of hosts in my city. This agreement is for three (URL HIDDEN) the following statement does not apply at this time:
****This business is licensed by the City of Los Angeles, a 14% Los Angeles Hotel Tax (TOT) is applicable to all stays of 29 days or less. I collect the tax when you arrive, this is because Airbnb does not collect taxes due to each city having a different rate, making it complicated, doing it this way we also avoid transaction fees through Airbnb. This is in accordance with their policy on taxes.
Children under 12 are welcome but this is a target rich environment for smaller children who will need continuous supervision so that nothing is broken because nothing is childproofed here. Also, all children are considered guests and must be included in your reservation request for insurance purposes.
Laundry facilities are available on site for a $1.00 per load per product, so if you use detergent and fabric softener it will be $2.00. I have a ton of products for stains and so forth right by the machine.
****LATE ARRIVALS: Late arrivals can be accommodated but your consideration is requested when making these arrangements. Please arrive before 11 pm on your day of registration and keep me informed or give me the tools to be informed of your arrival status should weather or an unforeseen something effect it.
The public spaces in the house. I have a beautiful garden with a gazebo for shade and a fountain that fills the yard with tranquility. There are several areas to sit in and relax as well as electrical outlets and WiFi so you can work out doors if you like...this is California!
I live on the premises so I am always available to help you. This is my home and I want you to feel at home.
Smoking outdoors only.
This is not exactly a child friendly environment. I have so many pretty, breakable things out and accessible that small people will find irresistible that you may not be able to relax, but if you are able to keep a close eye on your child(ren) then everything should be okay.
No cooking just microwave heating, toasting in the toaster, boiling water, and assembling, light use of refrigerator is acceptable too.
No food should be stored in your room and eating should be done at the dining tables in the house.
Please use coasters or glass top tables for drinks and hot plates rather than wood surfaces directly.
Always hang wet towels in the bathroom to dry, NEVER hang them on the furniture or leave on the bed.
No burning of candles or incense is allowed in your room ever.
For a longer stay other arrangements can be made regarding use of the kitchen.
* Any additional guests must be authorized by the host. All accommodations are offered to booked guests only, unless arrangements have been made prior to your stay for the arrival of additional guests.
Use of the Washer and Dryer is available. I offer laundry products at a per load fee of $1.00 per product. I don't charge for the use of the machine. It is pretty much on the honor system and you leave your money in my container for what you have used. Use of High Efficiency (HE) products only in my machine if you have your own.
*** Please be mindful as you are visiting our Golden State that we are in a crisis drought, our reservoirs are 83% below normal and we have not had rain of any consequence in FIVE years. Please help us all get through what we hope is not a permanent situation and keep water flowing to our taps while we wait for the rain to return. To this end please keep your showers short (ten minutes or less), turn off the water as you are brushing your teeth, and fill the sink when you shave to save water. I thank you and I know Southern California thanks you.

I am an outgoing, creative person who is also a great hostess. I love meeting new people and find that to be the best part of being an AirBnB host.
I wrote the above introduction six years ago when I started hosting and it is still true today, I enjoy hosting immensely. But, what I did not know then, is that being a host is a life enriching experience because of all the great people who have come into my life since I took that early leap into the shared economy. I have learned a lot about my city that I share with my guests and I have made many wonderful friends. Maybe you will be the next one!
