Amelia and family complained about everything that happened to them since the beginning of their vacation, starting from the airport and blaming very single person that crossed their path until they got to our villa.
We had fumigated a few days before their arrival which is why there were a few bugs on the ground, however, they were taken care of immediately.
Toilet was working fine with all of our previous guests including the faucet in the kitchen area (Brand new) and a good quality, enough to be handled in a decent way. Not sure what was done to the toilet or faucet however, immediate action was taken to fix the anomalies including the AC on the second floor. Faucet should have never been dismantled as it was not Amelia's endeavour to do so. The faucet as mentioned was Brand new and I wonder in which way she manouvered it that she tore the whole thing out if its place other than just moving it from right to left. None the less, the situation was fixed early in the morning after as she had called at 12am to let me know how she had torn the whole thing apart and I even washed her dirty dishes myself to avoid any confrontations or misunderstandings at the end of the stay.
Coffee maker is Brand new as well as the stove.
There was one beach towel missing (they were not charged for it), they broke the master bedroom lamp into pieces (noticed when they had left) and tore apart one of the twin mattress bed covers by drying it out in the dryer for a very long time again - not charged for it).
I mentioned non stop about the electric rates being high in Playa del Carmen but they left all electric appliances on while gone all day.
They were extremely messy and dirty themselves, everything was lying on the floor, food and bread crumbs in the kitchen area and in general terms did not repect the house rules at all.
Lastly, I am a human being, I make mistakes as we all do, however, I give my best to please all of my customers in this villa so that they leave replenished and happily back home. Amelia was very rude, she insulted me and could not stop swaring all her inner anger out to me, using bad words at 7 am on the day of her departure, very disrespectful.
We cannot be held responsible for the guests' bad living habits and negative behaviour at any time.
Fortunately, all of our previous customers value and appreciate all the hard work put into the house including my professionalism and good attitude as a hostess and Property Manager. It is difficult to satisfy everybody in all ways in this world; Nevertheless, I do know that respect, good will and a quick proactive follow up to any situation are excellent assets that I posess and the villa although, not new, has proved to be a potential vacation unit at a very reasonable Price.
