Brambling Cottage is over 100 years old and has many interesting features, and wonderful views of the surrounding moors. It is situated in a very quiet location in this lovely village. A large garden where you are welcome to wander round and sit and relax in. Choose a double or a twin room with private bathroom.
We look forward to welcoming you to our warm comfortable cottage. We can accommodate 2 people in a double room with private bathroom or a twin room with private bathroom. The twin room also has a wash basin set in a pine unit. Tea and coffee is provided in the bedrooms and a hairdryer, large fluffy bathsheets and hand towels. You can choose feather and down duvets and pillows or man made if you would prefer.
Guests have their own key and can come and go as they please.
A guest sitting room is situated on the same floor as the bedrooms looking over the garden and moors. We serve a light breakfast in the conservatory watching wildlife and birds.
We love to chat to our guests and make them feel at home in our home, and to hear all their experiences of travel and life. We do have a very friendly "meet and greet" labrador who you will meet on your stay and who definitely likes to interact with guests!
You can choose to stay on a room only basis or with breakfast comprising fruit, cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, home made bread/toast and fresh rolls with local honey, jam and marmalade, tea and coffee.
When enquiring about a reservation, it would be very helpful if you could mention whether you would prefer the double or the twin room, and feather and down duvets and pillows or man made.
Free wifi is available.
Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets.
Brambling Cottage is a non smoking home.
Guests do not have use of the kitchen to cook meals.
Originally from Hertfordshire I have lived in Goathland for 39 years. I like skiing, riding and travelling. My favourite country is Australia which I have visited four times in recent years and I especially love the outback. Also nearer to home I like Italy and Austria which I have visited several times.
I also like walking and good food!
I have had a guest house in the village for 25 years and have downsized to my cottage where I enjoy meeting people and carrying on with bed and breakfast. Some of my guests have been staying with me since 1980 and have followed me here!
