Bring food, swimsuits, beach towels and enjoy the beauty of Lake Murray. The fishing is great here so bring your fishing poles.

Living in Love County, Southern Oklahoma is such a privilege. We are located in a rural lake setting just 30 miles north of the Red River/Oklahoma-Texas line off I-35.

Quiet and peaceful in a wooded setting, Kemily and Becky live on location with their furkids. Being in Love County, we call our place Somewhere in Love. We are off the beaten path (approximately 1-mile from Lake Murray State Park) so you will definitely enjoy the peaceful setting and quiet location.

Aptly named, Somewhere Landing Cabins, you will find us on the South East end of Lake Murray State Park: Oklahoma’s oldest and largest state park- Lake Murray is absolutely our backyard playground. Great skiing, fishing, beaches, bike trails and hiking- plus we are approximately 1 mile from Marietta Landing's boat ramp. The Lake Murray State Park Lodge and Marina is only 15 minutes away with water park, pool, restaurant, miniature golf, 18-hole golf course, horseback riding and boat rentals.

Did we mention Winstar World Casino is in Love County, too? Only 25 minutes away, drive in and enjoy a concert, rodeo or a day playing at the casino, then come back to stay at The Landing to enjoy your deck, firepit and gazebo.

There is plenty to do in Southern Oklahoma whether you are here for the lake, golf or maybe just explore the area. Hiking, cycling, casual biking, ATV trails are all within 5-10 minutes. Maybe you are wanting to enjoy cultural activities? Tucker Tower at Lake Murray was formerly the Governor of Oklahoma's retreat residence. Now it is a Nature Center serving as an observation tower for the lake and wildlife area showcasing the largest meteorite ever found that is 900-million years old. Fossils and rock specimens (to include a mastodon skull) are exhibited.

You are less than an hour from the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Combining natural architectural elements and breathtaking scenery, the 109-acre campus offers you the ability to step back in history to view the Chickasaw tribal history, traditional dance and language.

Along the same path, you can visit Turner Falls, Oklahoma's beautiful waterfall -77 feet high. You can enjoy the park, and swim in the cascade of the natural pool the waterfall has created.

So whether you are traveling for a get-away Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall you will find Somewhere Landing a great location where as our dad always said "We'll treat you so many ways you'll like one of them".

Your hosts, Becky and Kemily Norman love living in Love County along with their furkids. The Normans are originally from Metro areas and owned a vacation home in the area. It became more and more difficult to go back to the fast-pace of city life at the end of a relaxing lake weekend. Full time residents now, they invite you to enjoy Somewhere Landing at Lake Murray. They are easy-going hosts, ready to allow privacy AND be available for any items not provided. They are knowledgeable about beautiful Lake Murray, ChickasawNation events and have frequently been seen at the local casinos.
