Light and airy 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in a great location (north central). Easily get to major shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants and bars. All within 5-7 minutes away. Walking distance to local eats. Quick access to all highways. Downtown Harrisburg & Farm Show is only 7 minutes away. On bus route. Laundromat is a short walk from apt (1 1/2 blocks away). NOTE: folks, this apartment is located in the city and is urban living. Everything is within 4-5 minutes drive. If you're not used to city noises or diverse neighborhoods, this is not the place for you. It is as safe as any other residential neighborhood in the city. It is also on the 2nd floor so you will need to climb stairs.

We've put a lot of love into this vacation rental. This property is updated and has a great floor plan. Bedroom one is on the main 2nd floor with living room adjacent to it and wide open kitchen. Newer stainless steel dishwasher, gas stove, fridge and overhead microwave. All hard surface flooring on main floor and carpet on 3rd floor bedroom and stairs. Clean, bright and easy to get to places.

The apartment is in a great part of Penbrook Borough. The police station is only 2 blocks away. Never ever had any incidents, burglary or anything here for the 13+ years I've owned it. There are kids that play outside so please be careful when driving through.

Lots of thoughtful amenities to make your stay comfortable. We've installed blackout curtains in the front bedroom and living room for light sensitive sleepers. Additional pillows and linens in bedroom closet. Fully stocked kitchen to cook meals. Smart LED TV with Netflix, Prime, Sling TV and cable via powered antenna (which is weather dependent). Coffee maker with a single serve hot water dispenser. Gas stove for all the cooks. Newer dishwasher with low dB so you can run it not overpower your TV or dining experience.

There are only outdoor cameras for security purposes. We do not monitor them unless you give us a reason to. Thanks!

NOTE: this is urban living and located in a diverse but safe neighborhood. If you're not used to this type of environment, city living and associated noises, we would recommend that you book elsewhere. We do have sound machines to help with sleeping should you need it. Apartment is not on a busy street.

Great family neighborhood with quick access to stores, shopping, restaurants, parks, downtown Harrisburg (3 miles) and Hersheypark (12 miles). The airport is only 10 miles away and Amtrak is about 2.8 miles. This area is an older, blue collar neighborhood with lots of kids playing. The police station and local park is just a down the street. Quiet at night and neighbors are nice. Convenience store (7 Eleven & others) are a short walk away. Laundromat is a short 1 1/2 blocks away. You can get to Hersheypark in about 20-25 minutes from here, downtown Harrisburg & Farm Show Complex in 7 minutes, York in 38 minutes, Lancaster in 35 min, Gettysburg in under 50 minutes, and Baltimore in under 1hr 30 minutes.

There are a lot of shopping, restaurants all within 5-10 minutes drive. You have the Colonial Park Mall, Harrisburg Mall and tons of restaurants on Walnut St = Jonestown Rd = Old Rte 22 (yes, same road has about 3-4 names!). Car is recommended.

PARKING: free on-street parking and lot across the street for off-street parking; please practice common sense when in any city and do not leave valuables in plain site and lock your doors
