This cabin has a rich history and has been in the family since the 1940s. It is meant to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle of lives that are often going a little to fast. The views have been an inspiration for many an artist and families have found this space to foster a re-connection to the natural world and a slower pace of living. We provide lots of activities for children of all ages, including literature, games, art supplies and recreation.
You will have the cabin to yourself.
We enjoy meeting our guests and giving them as much space as they would like. Our hope is that we will get to meet all our visitors and offer them an experience they will want to repeat.
The cabin is old and with this comes an element of quirkiness which we find charming, as do our guests.
We expect our guests to treat our beloved cabin with respect and reverence. While we welcome you to party at the cabin, we do expect you to clean up after yourselves. Our cleaning fee is for basic cleaning. If the cabin is not left in a reasonable state, we will be asking for an added cleaning fee to be be subtracted from your deposit.
While we do not charge an extra fee for pets, we do expect them to be flea treated and ask that you clean up any dog waste and vacuum if your pet sheds.
This beautiful cabin was acquired in 1946 by my grandparents, and was the family summer home, until I moved in year round in the 1980s. My kids were home-birthed here. Its where I started my architecture practice, before moving to Keene. Now it is time to share it with the World... Welcome! You'll be working with my very capable and delightful assistant, Lindsay.
