Villa Toranja is a beautiful linked 3 bedroom villa with large balcony, garden and private swimming pool. Offering excellent WiFi and air conditioning throughout. Amazing sea views and a pleasant quiet location.

We also can offer the villa right next door. Villa Artista is a fabulous villa also with a shared pool and together these villas can make a great 2 family holiday location.

Villa Toranja is a beautifully furnished 3 bedroom villa within a row of modern houses built in 2017, finished to a wonderfully high standard. It has the luxury of its own private swimming pool, small garden, parking, wifi and air conditioning throughout. Located in the small village of Luz de Tavira, this spacious and well-designed house has plenty of space to sleep up to a total of 7 people.

Entrance
Upon entering Villa Toranja, you immediately enter the bright hallway, a black marble staircase with a silver handrail leads to the first floor. Next to the staircase a hallway leads to the living area, positioned to the rear of the villa. Glass screening has been used between the stairs and the living area making the area feel very light and ultra modern. To the left you will find the ground floor family bathroom.

The ground floor shared family bathroom offers a large walk in shower, bidet, toilet and large basin with a great deal of storage underneath and grand mirror above. A moveable shelving unit is also located within the bathroom for extra storage for towels and holiday essentials. Through the bathroom, access can be gained to the ground floor bedroom thereby also acting as an ensuite.

Living Space
As you enter the spacious, light and airy, open plan living room you will see that almost the entire rear wall of the villa is given to French windows allowing the house to open up onto the private garden and pool at the back of the property. The living room has a large flat screen television that offers a variety of European channels. A vast grey corner unit style sofa with large comfortable pouf and bold and bright coloured cushions adds comfort and style to this living area. A large potted plant and reading lamp also provides a homely feel.

Kitchen
Also at the rear of the living space is a dinning area which is laid with a white dining table and 6 chairs (4 white and 2 blue). The large kitchen area is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. This modern white gloss kitchen is clean and bright and also boasts an island with sink and extractor fan in the centre of the room. Stylish artwork is situated on each of the walls providing that extra burst of colour.

From the dining area a door leads into the ground floor bedroom, which again further connects to the family bathroom.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The extensive ground floor bedroom is lovely and bright, it is laid out with twin beds and benefits from air conditioning and a wall of large fitted wardrobes. Another wall of French windows slide across to provide access to the garden terrace area to the front of the house. The soft furnishings are a brilliant blue which is reflected in the cushions, throws and pictures along the wall.

Upon ascending the black marble staircase to the first floor, the first bedroom on the left offers silver metal bunk beds with an easy to use ladder to the top bunk and one single bed (sleeping 3 children in total). There are fitted wardrobes with built in draws and a small table with a lamp. French windows open on to a large shared terrace (shared with the master bedroom) with frosted glass panels, looking out from the front of the property offering views of the sea. On the terrace is a bistro style table and chairs to allow of guests to sit a while and enjoy the view.

The master bedroom consists of 2 single beds which have been pushed together to make a super kingsize bed. The room also offers fitted wardrobes, air conditioning, matching bedside tables with lamps and a small potted plant, beautiful pictures and an ensuite bathroom. The ensuite is separated with a glass wall, through which you will find a walk in shower, basin, bidet and toilet. Again, French windows lead out onto the spacious shared balcony giving views over the orange groves.

Private Roof Terrace
As you reach the top of the stairs there is a door leading outside to a further set of stairs, these lead up to the roof terrace. The stairs run up the back of the property bringing you to the tiled terrace at the top with solar panels and a 360-degree view of the beautiful surroundings of mountains and sea views.

Parking, Garden and Swimming Pool
Each villa has its own gate into the property which slides across to provide easy access to the driveway of this beautiful villa. Additional parking is also available in the parking bays to the front of the row of villas.

As you enter through the gates you will see a small terrace garden to the left in front of the French windows of the ground floor bedroom. As you move further around the house you will come to the glistening private swimming pool with steps leading down safely into the water. Just before the stairs to the pool is the outdoor shower, where you can rinse off before or after entering the pool or to get rid of any sand after spending a sunny day at the beach. The small grassy garden area surrounding the pool is equipped with comfortable sunbeds and chairs as well as a small outdoor table.

Facilities
Villa Toranja is a beautiful three bedroom villa located in the small village of Luz de Tavira and is around a 10 minute drive from the very popular town of Tavira. It is also very close to the train station so offers great public transport links too. The East Algarve is a wonderful place in which to take your well-earned holiday. The beaches offer islands with miles of golden sand lapped by the crystal blue waters of the sea. The area is still very unspoilt with a strong local atmosphere with an exceptionally friendly feel. With a wonderful selection of places to visit form bustling fishing ports such as Olhao to wonderful calm cities with pavement cafes and cobbled pedestrian areas within Tavira and Vila Real.

Luz de Tavira is a suburb of Tavira and is around 5 km from the centre of Tavira City. ther is a good train and bus link and it is very easy to uses taxis to get into and out of Tavira. ther is also the cycle path that runs laong to coastline.

The nearest beaches are at Santa Luzia. Situated towards the coast and less than 3 km from Luz de Tavira

Santa Luzia is a small fishing village that makes for an enjoyable relaxed holiday destination or interesting day trip from Tavira. Santa Luzia is famed for its octopus, which is caught using traditional methods by the fishing fleet and then served up in the family run restaurants that line the harbour front.

Santa Luzia overlooks the lagoons and waterways of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, which is a haven for migratory birds and small marine life. On the seaward side of Ria Formosa are some of the quietest beaches of the Algarve and these pristine beaches can be reached by small ferries that depart from the harbour. This guide will provide an introduction to Santa Luzia for both visitors considering a holiday or day trip to this pretty and characterful village.

The main attraction is the village itself. Santa Luzia is a traditional Portuguese fishing village, which remains authentic and untouched by the influences of tourism. The colourful fishing boats return early in the morning and this is the best time to visit the fish market, where the last night’s catch is displayed and sold.
Tourists seeking some time on the beach can also visit the Praia da Terra Estreita, which is easily accessible by ferry. This beach is part of the Ilha de Tavira sandbar, which offers visitors an unspoilt, stunning shoreline. The Praia da Terra Estreita beach is regarded by some as the best beach in the region and is always quiet, even at the height of the summer season.

For those seeking some nature, the village is positioned on the edge of the Ria Formosa Natural Park; a series of protected mudflats and lagoons designed for migratory birdlife. During the summer there are boat tours and bird watching tours around this area.

As a holiday destination Santa Luzia is idea for tourists looking to experience a unique, traditional Portuguese way of life in a very calm and peaceful setting. Santa Luzia is far removed from the crowds of tourists who visit the central Algarve but is still within walking distance (40minutes) of Tavira a major resort town.

Santa Luzia is situated behind the sandbar of Ilha de Tavira. Extending the length of the sandy island are some of the best beaches in the region. The beach closest to Santa Luzia is called Praia da Terra Estreita, which is accessible only by ferry from the harbour. The frequency of ferry services is seasonal (regular departures take place from May until mid-September) but there are also water taxis for those who miss departures or are visiting in low season.

To the east of Praia da Terra Estreita is the Praia de Tavira; the most developed section of island, while to the west is the Barril Beach and the Cemetery of Anchors. Both beaches can be reached on foot from Praia da Terra Estreita and takes around 30 minutes. Praia da Terra Estreita is always much quieter than Tavira or Barril but there are only basic facilities available. It is recommended to head to Praia da Terra Estreita in peak season to escape the crowds of beach goers.

No visit to Santa Luzia is complete without sampling octopus (Polvo in Portuguese), a delicacy adored by the Portuguese. This dish is extremely difficult to cook but the village has mastered the fine art and is a speciality of the restaurants that line the harbour.

The fishing fleet of Santa Luzia use traditional and sustainable methods of fishing for the octopus which have barely altered in generations. The fishing technique uses clay pots that are lowered onto the seabed and the unwitting octopus are tempted to swim in but are unable to escape. During the day these clay pots can be seen drying along the harbour front or piled up on the fishing boats.

The otherwise sleepy harbour comes alive each morning when the octopus catches are brought ashore and sold in the local market. Tourists who miss this spectacle can also taste this local delicacy at one of the village’s restaurants, which overlook look the colourful fishing fleet.

IMPORTANT - Please read carefully
Arrival Day
We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600.  This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you.  We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have. 
 
Departure Day
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you.  In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.

Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smartphones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximize your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places, not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book.  The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
