Spacious double bedroom available in a three-storey Victorian Terrace house in a fantastic location in York city centre, ideal for couples, young families or professionals visiting the city on a business trip, short break or longer holiday. People of all backgrounds and their furry friends welcome!
The bedroom is on the second floor of the house, accessed via two short flights of stairs. The private bathroom (shower and toilet) is located on the first floor and there is a larger bathroom on the ground floor with a bath, also available for use by guests. Guests will have shared access to our living spaces, kitchen and outdoor courtyards.
Guests are welcome to help themselves to cereal, eggs, toast and spreads for breakfast. There are a number of cafés at the end of the street offering breakfast and brunch.
Parking is limited on the street and available on a first come, first served basis with a visitor permit. In the unlikely event that there is no space on the street, there is parking available in Union Terrace car park only a two minute walk away. They charge £2.20 an hour, £12.50 until 8am the next day, or £2 for 6pm-8am.
The house is a two minute walk from Gillygate, a popular street in the city centre offering a selection of cafe's, restaurants and boutique shops. The York Minster is a five minute walk from the house, which puts you within a stone's throw from the rest of the city's shops and amenities. The Art Gallery, Museum Gardens and Yorkshire Museum are all less than a five minute walk from the house.
There is a Sainsbury's corner shop very close by open from 7-11 seven days a week. The train station is a 10-15min walk from the house either through the city centre or via Scarborough Rail Bridge.
Ben and I live here with our infant daughter and two westies. Our home is a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment.
