Thanks James for your review. Let me comment on some of the things you mention.
- First about the Passport. From our city government in Amsterdam we need to register the full names of guests. The city also asks us to register if guests have an ID or passport. Because I don't want to bother guests too much I ask them to take a picture of their passport or ID with their phone and send it to me by (Hidden by Airbnb) or the AirBnB app/website so I can fill in myself their full names and register if they have an ID or passport. I was asked the same by many hosts when I was an AirBnB guest myself, but I was not aware that it is not allowed to ask for a picture of an ID or passport. So from now on I will ask guests to write down the information themselves. Which is, after all, not that much work:) And sorry James that I let you waste so much time researching this.
- About a lock or latch in the bedroom. Of course we would never open the door of the bedroom when guests are there. Untill now we did not have a lock or latch because of safety reasons. But we will providing it from next week on because of your comment.
- About the lights in hallway and entrance. We (as most people do in The Netherlands ) normally turn off the lights if we are not at home or do not use the hallway and entrance and we turn the lights on again if we use these spaces. I never had complaints about this, but because I want everyone to be happy in our house, we will install some small lights in the entrance and hallway, so it will be easy for everyone to find the light switch.
- Yes, we do have a washer and dryer. If you have laundry you can give it to us and we will wash and dry.
