Spacious, comfortable, master bedroom and bath with a great big tub. 3.5 miles from downtown square. Nice desk in the room with a view of the creek. Wood-like binds and block-out curtains for sleeping in. Breakfast is usually tea, coffee, Kaffix (for coffee lovers with acid reflux) sweet bread with goat or cream cheese. (Let me know if you prefer cereal/bagel. Quiet, country-like setting with good bicycling and walking routes. November through March I offer excellent weekly and monthly rates.
I have long dreamed of opening a B&B and calling it The Be Well Hotel. That's the vibe in my home. Wellness. The master bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed with down comforter and comfy pillows. Your bathroom has an oversized tub with separate shower. My home is environmentally friendly and filtered water is always available. You can use the microwave, tea kettle and coffee pot in the kitchen. I provide freshly ground coffee, teas, half 'n half, honey and muffins.
I do have a two night stay requirement.
Iron and ironing board and hairdryer are available upon request. If you'd like to use my old Mac computer let me know and I will be happy to set it up for you on the desk. (no printer) If the scent of burning incense bothers you, let me know and i'll be sure not to light any 24 hours before your stay.
Feel free to do yoga in the spacious living room. I get the Gaiam Channel through the Roku or if you bring your laptop, i recommend a computer site called "Do Yoga with Me". You're also welcome to watch TV in the parlor. (Netflix and Hula Plus are available) Complementary WI Fi lets you stream from your laptop.
Please be sure to provide me with your profile information as that makes booking your stay faster and easier. Also let me know if you have a particular purpose in mind for the visit and I might be able to provide more information for your stay. Thanks.
Location is excellent for bicycle cruising and walks with safe neighborhoods and low traffic. This is a modular home park and my home is located along the creek so you might be sipping coffee in the cozy garden and spot the fox and her two kits or the doe and fawn who regularly cruise by. We often get cooler breezes blowing through here so keep a sweater handy even in the summer. If it's a sizzling summer day, there's central air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable.
I enjoy sharing my home with visitors and will make you feel at home, the minute you walk through the door. I spend a lot of time in my office/studio but am always a knock (or if I'm out, a text message/cell phone call) away.
You will be a five minute drive from downtown Sonoma, ten/fifteen minutes from Glen Ellen and/or Sonoma wineries, 15-20 minutes to Napa or Hwy 101 and Petaluma.
So relax, refresh and rejuvenate in lovely Sonoma Valley.
You are free to relax in anywhere in the hourse, back or side yards. You may park in the driveway. Your key will unlock the front door. Smoking is only permitted outdoors in either yard.
I am happy to share details of wineries and Sonoma restaurants and visit a bit. I'm also happy to respect your privacy, if you prefer. I am gone at least healf of your weekend visit and sometimes more.
You are free to regulate the air conditioner and heater. I leave that to my guests. It is a quiet neighborhood and great for taking walks or bicycling. It's so safe here I don't lock my own shed where I keep my own bike.
Rule #1: Pamper yourself and enjoy yourself.
Other Rules: No smoking indoors and no candles except on the shelf of the bathtub. Sorry no pets.
I do ask guest to leave shoes by the door and use only house slippers, it saves constantly steam cleaning rugs.
Please drink wine & other beverages (that can stain a carpet) in the dining area or out on the porch or in the garden.
Smoking is permitted in the garden or around the table on the front porch.
Bring your own detergent for washing clothes. Although I provide shampoo, soap and conditioner, they are in large economy sizes. Please leave out for the next guests.
You may use the toaster oven only.
In general be respectful of hostess and home
I'm artsy and friendly, intelligent and down to earth. I work as a concierge for a local Inn and interact with travelers from all over the world. Renting my spare bedroom to people visiting the area is an interesting concept. I've lived with roommates before so I know how to respect other people's space. My Italian mother was a West Virginia girl who taught me the meaning of real southern (and Italian) hospitality. I am over 50 and live in an adult community and welcome all age visitors, however I do feel that guests over 35 would best appreciate and respect the quiet neighborhood.
Come enjoy wine country!
