To clarify - here is the review from the first stay: "For me his place was superb and exceeded my expectations, Very friendly and helpful, superb location, and great kitchen.".
With this review from the second stay, a) we left the key for our guest to get in as we were away and b) we did not speak to our guest whilst he was here as we were either away or busy working in the home office.
Many of our other guests prefer minimal contact once checked in however based on this review, our guest found this lack of contact rude so we suggest this is up to personal preference.
We have updated our listing to make it clear that we may not be there face-to-face for check-in and that we usually have minimal contact during the stay other than for queries and/or messages via the AirBnB app.
