It is of utmost importance that you take care of your wellbeing and safety as whilst residing in Durban. Please note on the following important information:
It is not recommended to walk around at night and we suggest that you use the various method of transport available such as:

Should you walk in the streets during the day, please do not walk with valuables visible such as camera’s, laptop bags, handbags, wallets or mobile phones.
Always be wary of your surroundings and do not let strangers distract you.
Take care when using ATM facilities and neither ask strangers for assistance, nor offer assistance to anyone else using a bank ATM.

WI-FI Connection:
Should you wish to connect to the Wi-Fi, please ensure that your device’s Wi-Fi setting is turned on. Search for the following network and use the provided password:

Security reception:
Please note that you will only be able to access or leave the building at the security reception (situated on the ground floor) by using the access disc that you were provided with. (24 hours a day)
Guests booked to stay in the apartment will not be able to access or leave the building without the provided access discs.

Please note that you will only be able to access or leave the building with your vehicle at the parkade gates (situated in the basement) by using the access remote that you were provided with.
Guests will not be able to access or leave the building in a vehicle without the provided access remote. No pedestrian access is allowed through the parkade gates.

ONLY booked guests as per the name list on the booking confirmation will be able to overnight in the apartment.
Guests that are booked to stay in the apartment are able to host visitors from 09:00 until 22:00 daily.
Visitors will only be allowed to access the building if the booked guest(s) are present and / or in the apartment to give authorisation for such visitor(s) to access the building.
All day visitors (that are not booked to overnight in the apartment) must sign in at security reception (ground floor) and obtain a ‘visitors tag’.
‘Visitor tags’ must be returned to the security reception desk, no later than 22:00.
Visitors may not be given security access discs.
Excessive noise
Please keep noise levels at an acceptable level and kindly refrain from excessive noise after 22:00.

Fellow residents, security personnel and visitors
Please treat fellow residents, visitors and security personnel with respect in a courteous menner as this building is a residential block.

Keys and access discs
Keys and access discs issued to you, may not be given to any other person, other than the owner of the apartment. Please ensure that you have your keys and access discs with you at all times. In the event that you loose the keys and / or disc, please contact the owner, Andre-B van Wyk immediately.
Please do not leave the apartment, or go onto the back balcony without your keys, as the door will lock automatically and you will not be able to get back in. Should this accidentally happen, please contact the owner who will come to the building to open for you.

Should you have a vehicle, please only park on the allocated parking bay. Please do not attempt to park on another parking bay as this may belong to another resident and your vehicle’s wheels will be clamped. A wheel-clamp release fine will be payable to security prior to your vehicle being released.
Please ensure that you use the issued parkade access remote to enter or leave the parkade.
Parking Bay number: 216 may be used unless indicated otherwise.
Parking Bay number: 504 may be used unless indicated otherwise.
Apartment Doors and Windows
As the apartment is situated on the 14th and 15th floor of the building, and at sea front, we often experience strong wind that may cause damage to furniture, fittings and / or your personal belongings.
Please ensure that doors and windows are closed and locked when you leave the apartment.
Please do not leave the front and back door open at the same time, as unexpected strong wind may cause doors to slam, which may cause damages to the property.

As a courtesy to your host and his belongings, we ask that you refrain from smoking inside the apartment. Should you wish to smoke, kindly smoke on the front or back balcony and use ashtrays provided.
Please do not throw cigarette buds or any other objects off the balconies as this may cause damage and harm to other property and or persons.

Television , Cable TV (DSTV), Wi-Fi connections
Please do not tamper with any wiring, television, cable tv (DSTV), Wi-fi connections. Should you experience any challenges with signals, or connecting, please contact the owner of the apartment who will arrange for assistance.

Andre is an exceptionally friendly host who is willing and able to accommodate and communicate quickly and effectively. The apartment is great value with several standout features for a fun stay. Highly recommended for families with young children.

Andre is a wonderful addition to the Airbnb host family! I have always felt that Airbnb in South Africa is the best Airbnb experience in the world given that South Africans are wonderful and caring hosts--and this was no exception. As we arrived, a bottle of wine, snacks, etc awaited. The place was clean, safe, and well located with laundry available in the unit, a laundromat on 4th floor, and multiple surrounding. We were there for a conference and location was great. And Andre even provided cleaning service (FOR FREE!) on multiple days. Stellar addition to Airbnb!!

I have been involved in a number of large scale projects such at uShaka Marine World, The Durban Playhouse Company and in recent years have launched and managed various hotels within the hospitality sector and was actively involved in launching residential estates and sectional title products into the real-estate market.

I have also conceptualized and implemented a number of big events which have become synonymous with the Durban Events Calendar and I have managed various product launches, corporate conferences and functions on behalf of corporate companies.
