As much as we like being in our home, we prefer being outdoors, whether gardening, golfing, bicycling, or just taking walks. We’ve had the good fortune to travel overseas to beautiful places like Ireland, the Greek Islands and Paris. But our favorite destination is rural Kansas to visit Nan’s family. We’ve not been anywhere as beautiful as the vast tallgrass prairies in Kansas and Oklahoma. We are avid readers and, if we had to choose, we’d probably say we most love reading about the early settlers of the midwest and western parts of our country.
