Our 1860's property has what we call 'The Summer House' nestled between the spa pool and the garden, where Rogan & Josh (our pet lambs) live.
It's quiet, has a comfy queen sized bed, excellent heating, WiFi, Netflix and a great outdoor living area to sit, relax and admire the views.
Sure it's not self contained, but there are lemon trees in the garden; or you're welcome to share our facilities inside.
As we're on the main street, the cafes, bars and restaurants, are an easy stroll away.
The Summer House is small, but what it might lack in space, we believe it makes up for in charm. It's warm, inviting, private; and has a bed that a previous guest suggested was so sumptuous and inviting, he thought he might get lost in the pillows.
We invite you to use the spa pool (swimsuits required) and share in use of the amenities which are located upstairs, within the main house. You are of course also welcome to hang out with our yearling pet Lambs: Rogan and Josh. Or simply make the most of your time relaxing undisturbed in your private courtyard with a good book, which can be borrowed for the duration of your stay from within our personal library.
We're usually around to welcome guests and are more than happy to chat, share a coffee, glass of wine, or piece or two of chocolate cake; while hanging out with the lambs, or enjoying sunset views of the harbour.
There's plenty of free, well lit, parking on the street.
The Summer House comes with a few urban glamping essentials: WiFi, Netflix, LED Lantern, standard phone chargers, bluetooth speaker and umbrella.
A kettle, selection of tea, coffee, coffee plunger, tea cups, wine glasses and water carafe are also provided. Champagne flutes and other items can be arranged, on request.
Lyttleton is a hill settlement, but London St is on the flat, so there is no climb between your bed for the night and the best Lyttleton has to offer..... Unless you want to walk a hill track, in which case you'll need to wander to the end of the street first.
- Smokers may smoke outdoors provided they maintain a distance from any open windows and doors; and responsibly dispose of their cigarette butts.
Hi There, I'm Coral and I'm a self employed designer, who loves to read, cook and hang out in the garden pottering, or enjoying the company of a gaggle of friends or animals. My partner Craig and I moved to Lyttelton just over a year ago and instantly fell in love with our new home and the quirky nature of the town.
One of our first projects was to transform the outdoor spaces on our property into comfortable useable areas, which is how we come to have; The Summer House. The Summer House started off as a space for our friends to use when staying over, but after Craig and I spent a fortnight out there over Christmas, we decided it was just too lovely not to share.
We are well traveled and love meeting new people. Craig is an avid sailor and loves to talk boats, and I (Craig might suggest) just love to talk.... That said we are pretty relaxed, self contained and more than happy to leave you alone to enjoy a private romantic getaway if that's your plan.
