Certainly a place to recommend if you want to live in a quiet part of Venice. The location is situated near a garden full of parrots and gooses that will start singing in the early morning, but otherwise you can sleep well and comfortably.
The room looks like a little slice of a palace, very clean and elegant, and is one of the few places where the photos posted online are actually less impressive than the room itself: on the walls there are some of the host's own paintings, which are beautiful and positive - like a lively embroidery -, massive wood furniture with nice mirrors, elegant blankets and carpets. The bed is large and comfortable.
The water flow of the shower is a bit slow, and the gas stove is uncomfortable to turn on with the small lighter available, both of which should be pretty easy for the host to fix.
The host is nice and helpful although there may be some unspoken house guidelines that ought to be explained better beforehand so as to avoid misunderstandings. In our case the wardrobe and chests that were in the room we rented were not as private as expected and were already used as storage space for the host's sheets and towels, so we were supposed to put our clothes on the sofa, which somewhat spoiled the beauty and cleanliness of the room. Also, it may be more convenient for the host if you wake up earlier that 12 o'clock so that she can perform her daily cleaning routine. Moreover, she seems not to like you cooking at home very much, although it is allowed.
Overall, our stay here was very pleasant and contributed to the pleasantness of our amazing trip to Venice.
