The best home base for your storybook Philadelphia experience. Our rarely available full-house rental is truly unique, right in the heart of Philly's most vibrant neighborhood. We are located at the charming 'lost' intersection of Jessup & Irving, two colonial brick paved walkways. House is well appointed with a luxurious bath- marble/whirlpool tub. Three comfortable bedrooms. Superb location hidden in plain sight steps away from world class dining, clubs, boutiques & cultural attractions.
Our location is amazingly historical and has a storybook quality. Approaching our home feels like you are walking back in time, decades with each step. In fact, the view from the windows of our home has probably not changed much since the early 1800's when the house was originally built. Revel the secret garden entry to our home... starting with a charming wooden gate encircled by a manicured rose trellis- utterly enchanting! We are situated at the quaint intersection of two tiny, brick-paved streets. Cars rarely drive down here since it's almost too narrow- A quiet oasis in the middle of one of Philly's most vibrant neighborhoods. A trinity townhouse is a unique Philadelphia experience. This house was built around 1813; likely for servants or working class people. At that time there was no indoor plumbing; cooking was done in fireplaces and there was a shared outhouse down the block. Obviously there has been a lot of work done to the property over the years. Today this spot has a minimalistic and contemporary feeling that is fun, relevant, and striking. The original stairs are turned and fairly steep, if you have mobility issues you might want to send me a quick message to touch base.
You are welcome to cook in the kitchen, but please respect our vegan household. We kindly request no meat is cooked in our home. We have all the basics... adding new stuff every day :-) Most pantry items are shared with very few, clearly defined limitations (maybe don't drink all the champagne? haha)... but yes, generally feel free to help yourself.
If we are in town we are happy to share coffee or tea with you, maybe share a meal, but we also tend to have a busy schedule. We value personal connections with our guests, but if you are not the chatty type rest assured that your privacy will be respected. It's up to you to define your experience. This is a whole house rental so it's likely that we will not run into each other unless we make specific plans to connect.

It is really easy to find information on me- I'm a licensed real estate agent in Philadelphia. Search for my name: "Kevin McGillicuddy Realtor Philadelphia" and you will get lots of info about me! (Just to be clear my company has nothing to do with me renting this house out!).
To save you the trouble, let me say that I've lived in Philadelphia for 22 years and in Northern Liberties for 16+ years. I've seen a lot of exciting changes in that time and I would be happy to share my knowledge of the area with you during your stay. I'm also a graduate level psych major, huge cycling enthusiast, and I love vegan cooking. If you want to share a meal or grab some coffee I love to chat... it's easy since I live next door. If you prefer your privacy is assured.
Anything else you want to know... just ask :-)
