Welcome to number 7 Mount Pleasant, located in a quiet spot in the middle of the historic village of Blockley.
Blockley, known a the ‘Hidden Gem of the Cotswolds’, is perfectly located for many wonderful countryside walks, and exploring the many beautiful Cotswolds villages and towns.
I love running, and this area is perfect for shorter, easy runs, as well as much more challenging hilly trail runs. The scenery is amazing, and I can provide details of great routes for multiple distances.
Number 7 is well proportioned one bedroom cottage, with lots of character, with the benefit of courtyard garden ideal for alfresco dining! It is set on a quiet lane with pedestrian only access, and moments from the heart of the village. Free on street parking is readily available.
A short path across the courtyard garden leads to the front door, opening to a small enclosed porch, and then into the open plan living rom and well equipped kitchen. Stairs lead to the first floor bedroom and bathroom (with bath and separate shower).
Guests have access to the whole house and the delightful garden.
I love to meet guests when I’m available, although I do travel a lot for work. I’m also happy to communicate via email and phone.
Number 7 is my home. I do stay there regularly, but it is presented as a holiday home with all of the amenities that you would expect. It is professionally cleaned prior to any guests arriving. As you would expect, I always make sure that there is milk, tea, coffee and sugar available, but because it is my home, I also make sure that the cupboards are stocked with other everyday essentials which guests are welcome to use.
The local amenities are great. There is a village shop and cafe which is open every day, and a couple of pubs. Slightly further afield Moreton-in-Marsh has a Tesco Local store, which is open until 11pm daily.
Unusually the village also has a gym, Freestyle 360 ((URL HIDDEN) which is open to non members for a small fee for classes etc. It’s a great gym!
My name is Simon.
I have four boys who are growing up quickly.
I travel a lot for work and for fun. Wherever I go I take my running shoes. It’s a great way to see a place, and gives me an excuse to indulge in another love, eating great food.
