Come & stay with Neil & Lindsey, in a double room in our home on the quiet South Side of Loch Ness in Foyers. If it’s peace & quiet, stunning views, excellent walks (from the house), an abundance of wildlife, flora & fauna, virtually no light pollution or sound pollution you are looking for then you will be coming to the right place. We live in a tranquil setting looking out on to the mouth of the River Foyers that leads in to Loch Ness, You are a 2 minute walk from the shore of Loch Ness.
You will be staying with hosts that have extensive knowledge of the highlands from hikes to historic sites, from ancient sacred sites to sandy beaches. Our house is 1 mile from the main road ( B852 ) amongst a small cluster of houses in Lower Foyers. Situated at the centre of Loch Ness just 20 miles from Inverness and 14 miles from Fort Augustus. There is a bus stop 20 metres from the house with regular bus services to Inverness on the 302 service provided by D & E Coaches. We also have two bikes available for hire and a Mini Van to have private tours. There are two Cafes, a shop and Pub in the village. There is also a company that hire small motor boats and kayaks out from spring until autumn for you to see the Loch from the water. You are a 2 minute walk from the shore of the World renowned Loch Ness and surrounded by beautiful mountains, woodland and a Gorge that leads to Foyers Falls.
Our guest bedroom has a Double Bed and is small, cozy and simply decorated. It overlooks the back garden.
Neil is a Highlander and grew up in Inverness, he is a local Artist, keen walker with a love for wildlife so he has good knowledge of Inverness-shire and the wider area and can answer most of the questions you may have about life, nature, scenery and travelling around the Highlands.
Lindsey is a Holistic Therapist who specialises in Massage, Reflexology, Hopi Ear Candles and Reiki. If you would like to book a treatment during your stay to help ease your muscles from hiking the hills or just to help you relax just let us know and she will book you in at a time that suits you. Lindsey also makes Jewellery and bath products such as Scottish Heather Soap and Bath salts.
Our home is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout. With Neil being an Artist you will see some of his oil paintings on display throughout our home many of which are inspired by the beautiful Highland scenery we are surrounded by. We share our home with our 2 cats Sofi and Selene. Along with your bedroom and the shared bathroom you will have access to the dinning room and garden to relax in during you stay. The kitchen is available only for breakfast.
A light breakfast of cereal, bread/toast and fruit will be provided. We stock Organic Soya Milk. If you require Cow’s milk please request this when making your booking. We usually have one Gluten Free breakfast cereal available. During the summer months there may be fruit from our garden available for you to enjoy with breakfast. A hairdryer is provided in your room and Free WiFi for you to use throughout the house.
We like to help the environment where we can. All our bed linen and towels are washed with Ecover Eco Friendly wash powder. There is Faith in Nature hand wash and body wash available for you to use during your stay in the shared bathroom.
Having travelled a fair bit of the World we appreciate how important it is to have friendly and helpful hosts while not intruding on your privacy. If there is anything we can help you with during your stay please don't hesitate to ask. There is usually one of us at the house most of the time.
During your stay you will have use of your own private Bedroom, the shared Bathroom, Dinning Room and Garden. The kitchen is available for Breakfast only
