This is a ground floor double bedroom. We provide shared kitchen and living room on the ground floor. Room has exclusive use of a very large shower room. There is also a garden and laundry. Back garden mainly laid to lawn. We have additional rental possible for BBQ and use of bikes for guests.

Hi Steve, Accept cleaning is excessive at £35. It is a service admin fee on each booking as covers the cleaner for the hour, maid service setting up the room, 30 minutes, cleaning of the linen. Further it then covers my 45 minutes to meet and greet, as well as checking my staff have set up the room to a suitable standard. It of course is £1 per day if staying a month and high when staying the day. You were attending a local event and attendance for myself was out of the weekend and you were given. Surprised you felt communications were delayed. Apart from when I was out of the country myself, all responses have had 100% response rate. In your case all were within 12 hours when left late evening. Of communications, apart from the inital request when we delayed by 12 hours to see if others were interested (we usually offer 3 day min), all were responded to the same day. The room offered on 1st floor was done so as it is bigger and nicer than on ground floor. I will get the curtains cleaned. they are quite new and so not sure why they would be dirty but easily addressed. Main issue is the charges, but cleaning fee is only way we cover one off admin for the welcome, clean, key drop, linen change. It encourages longer use occupation. As there was an event on, you selected a room which was the lowest on offer in the area so we are aware it is competitive. Overall our occupation rate is approaching 80% so charges are competitive for this area. Sorry for not making this clear the charge for the one off covers everything, I agree just the end of stay cleaning would be excessive if just covered that.

Hi, My name is Colin Davison. I am a local landlord who wanted to offer more to my guests. I currently have property agency experience looking after tenants on long term residential property, long term business tenants with stays at Winton House in Basingstoke. My passion is connecting people for the right accomodation yet I am fully working and full-time Chartered Accountant at a local accountancy firm.

I am a family man, have four children, the oldest helps me with my website for marketing the properties. My youngest is a baby so I prefer weekday meetings so I can plan around my current work times.

My enjoyable activities - staying fit with walking, cycling ( can lend out bikes for those willing to give it a try), wildlife and family photography. I used to have a photo studio as well with my many hobbies. I also enjoy great food and there are many conflicts!

I welcome anyone for business, pleasure or just visiting friends and family. I have a number of walks, locations I can recommend for exploring if you ave so many days available. Those working here wanting to know the best Fish and Chip shop or just great gym to head to after work, let me know.

I can support anyone on the phone, so even if I am back at home and there is something you need, please let me know.

As well as hosting and my tax advice business, I personally coach people in wealth matters. Whether you are seeking to devleop a property business or just want help build a brand or write an ebook to show off your expertise, I am avaialble to chat over matters with guests. I will only support and interact with guest if they want this and for those in Basingstoke, this is limited to the working week and evenings and weekends, I am able to help with those at my Hampshire Country home location.

Around the Hart area there is Jane Austin's house (she visited Winton House as well when it was a school). the village of Odiham and Hartley Wintney offers great food establishments, restaurants and country pubs so if you have time, please ensure you do explore the fantastic location you are visiting.

For the business guest, Hook and North Warnborough are a few minutes walk from Hook Station. Basingstoke properties are all within a few mins walk from the station (40 mins for Limes Park).

I am happy to (subject to demand) offer photo tours of the local countryside, from a tour of Basingstoke canal with local history offered on the route. I am exploring offering this experience later on but for weekend guests, I can offer you this without charge until I have more experience! Please ask.
