This housing project initially began in the early 1980s, during the Parade of homes on the Pali, just a few years after the Old Pali Road was converted into a four lane highway with free access to the H-2 and Kailua side to connect to H-1 all the way down to Honolulu town in both directions. At the time I was born, it was registered as a two - unit home, to my family and my mom's younger brother, and now it has expanded into a multi - family dwelling with six units and many lots more!
Crisp, cool weather from the island traffic which I like to think of as flowing in and out as waves from Kailua through to the downtown Honolulu harbor like the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
I will show you around if you have the wealth of time and energy to spend with me.
You may find me on the Book of Faces as Michael Yen Dunn. You may also find me on Line or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)+ or any of the top social media feeds.
However, if you would like to follow and share my experiences and stories with me, I usually post on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) live, but it is always best to just come and hang out with me live and in person.
I am very gracious and very lucky to be living in a Hawaiian Paradise where we get plenty of sunshine and rain that takes care of the isles and all of its inhabitants!
The good gods Lono and Pele take care of us all as well as cleaning the city streets and washes away all the toxins and diseases from the jungle and our bodies into the great Pacific Ocean and the surrounding deep blue sea.
Locals worship Pele, the goddess of Fire.
First and foremost. Before you make reservations for your trip, do your home work, research your self or read a book. Are you clean, healthy and happy? Why are you travelling? What are you missing that you can not find where you are now? What do you hope to gain and learn from your escape and vacation experience? Will it be just as lonely or are you willing and ready to make new friends and establish a new family where you are headed?
If you responded yes to all of these questions and are looking for an adventure, then likewise, you are welcome to bring your own food and use the refrigerator space and dishes and I will do my best as your host to make you feel at home here. However, I expect you to thoroughly clean and hand wash the dishes and the spaces that you use as well as your own personal body with soap and water, including, but not limited to, wiping down the counter spaces and surfaces that you touch with the hands that you eat with and the feet that you walk on. Otherwise, we will have an infestation of roaches, black sugar ants, insects, mosquitoes and other flying bugs.
There is a $100 deposit for the key to the outside double glass-panel door. However, the inside screen door has no keyhole, and if I am also home, you won't be needing one. Just holler for Mikey and I'll come over to let you in!
As your host, it is important to always be in direct communication. I prefer face - to - face conversations over text, voice, e-mail or any other message sent through any screen or other device.
I want to be a good host, and you'll get the best experience if you focus your energy and thoughts directly with me.
*Most importantly, this is a shared space and we are all passengers and renters on this island and this earth, here for a brief existence in geologic time, and then gone like a vapor.
'For from dust we have come, and to dust we shall return.' -- Genesis 3:19
All of life is a story and His Story just happens to contained in the Holy book of the B.I.B.L.E. Some gospel rappers consider the acronym to stand for the 'Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.'
If you are just visiting or here only temporarily on your own business, may you enjoy the sun and the islands at your leisure and not take for granted the wonderful beauty this love life has to offer!
If you decide to extend your stay, perhaps we can share our wealth and enjoy the experience together!
I am a travelling yogi, born and raised on the islands of Hawaii. Though we are all passengers in this life. Here for a brief moment and then gone like a vapor the next, for from dust we came, and to dust we shall return.
